Does the game work offline? I'm about to go on a trip with no internet for a month and need a good time killer in between study sessions and the weekend on base.

The game will work offline but there's at least one thing I know you won't be able to do in the single player campaign because of it. I'm not deep enough into the game to know if it's important to the story or not

my biggest complaint is so many of the missions being on hold at the same time and then activating all at the same time. Not very smooth, and while I know its a plot device its bad that it feels like a plot device.

Fighting the architects aren't that bad if you don't have environment dangers to consider. fought my first one last night

I fought one in a level 2 hazard area and that was an enormous pain in the ass.

That was 20 levels ago, though. Once you're 40+ your character becomes an unstoppable force of nature.

Also, to you noobs: trick out your Nomad asap. Makes trekking these massive planets and those pesky fetch quests a much less odius ordeal. The game doesn't do a great job of highlighting this... it's in your RnD terminal on the Development interface. You don't have to research or equip anything.

I am at the mid thirties right now.

It is still amazing me how much world continue to open up. Eos at least continues to get bigger and looks like there is another expansion I have yet to get. I have made it around the big lake.

I have a bunch of Heleus tech points (3k or so) I am not using. none of the new weapons or armor are interesting. a couple augments are cool but for the most part I prefer the Milky Way tech.

Got all my Kett armor maxed out in research. It's badass for a pure spldier build.

Remnant weapons are my favorite so far. The shotgun is ridiculous with the charge-up augmentation.

I don't know why crafting is getting reemed in reviews. I think it's fantastic.

its the typical reviewer nonsense.

It doesn't play exactly like I wanted it to, therefore it sucks completely.

or

It doesn't play exactly like this other game (by another developer/studio/genre) therefore it is terrible.

Along with the skill system, the protagonist personality development, and loadout options, this game delivered on what ME1 started and fixed what ME2/3 oversimplified.

This game is putting me at risk of getting back into gaming. While dangerous, that's what a good game shpuld do.

Solid 9.5/10 in the Dink camp after beating it, because I know a lot of issues will be fixed. Multiplayer is so ridiculously awesome.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this bug if you try to watch more than one memory at a time the second one important people just don't show up in the cut scene.

Also just a heads up for anyone that hasn't gotten this far yet and I know it's counter intuitive but on the second part of the peebee loyalty mission don't take her along and save a lot because a game breaking bug might pop up

I just finished up my first play-through on insane a couple days ago and I thought this game was what the first Mass Effect wanted to be but the tech probably didn't allow it. I think most of the hate for the game is unwarranted and Bioware has already said they will be releasing patches for different things soon. Really good game overall and I love the amount of flexibility in combat and skill building now.

For those interested in playing on insanity, I would recommend not doing it with a brand new level 1 character. Really made the first half of the game a grind and I ended up bouncing from planet to planet and just leaving missions for later (like architects and kett bases).

I know I have said it before, but this game just gets better the more you unlock.

This is my first experience in the Mass Effect universe and I'm really impressed. If you're a RPG fan it's a definite buy. There's enough to keep you occupied for seemingly forever. They've made me a big fan.

Glad I have taken my time with this, huge patch dropping tomorrow and will address things from facial animations to bugs.

Can't play it as is. I have to stand a foot away to read the friggin text.

I've heard mixed reviews on this so far.

For those that have played it, would you say it's still a buy?

I've been a big fan of the series but I've heard it's been somewhat of a letdown by several people.
