BLM Activist Pleading Guilty In Case Involving Stolen Taxpayer Money Meant To Help Low-Income Families

A Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist has taken a plea deal in a Fargo, North Dakota, case in which she and her husband are accused of diverting taxpayer money meant for her nonprofit to family members, according to local news outlet InForum.

Faith Shields-Dixon, founder of the Faith4Hope Scholarship Fund, will plead guilty to three felony counts of theft out of five, InForum reported, citing a plea agreement she signed Oct. 1. The deal follows years of allegations of financial mismanagement by BLM leaders after their organizations received lavish funding. Prosecutors accused Shields-Dixon of accepting $350,000 in grant money for the Faith4Hope Scholarship Fund, which was meant to assist low-income families, and directing $124,000 of it to businesses run by family members. Shields-Dixon told InForum that her sentencing hearing will reveal what precise illegal actions she will confess to.

“There, my attorneys and I will explain exactly what did and did not happen with respect to the grant funding I accepted from the city of Fargo and state of North Dakota,” Shields-Dixon said in a statement. “Then — and only then — should anyone draw any conclusions about me, my family and the decisions I made in this matter.”

An attorney for Shields-Dixon did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment. Her husband, Charles, faces his own felony trial for the case in November, according to InForum.

Shields-Dixon’s police-related advocacy included filing a complaint against the Moorhead Police Department in 2020, alleging that she was afraid for her life during a traffic stop and telling a police oversight board in 2024 that she had been unlawfully jailed in Fargo, Valley News Live reported.

Following George Floyd’s death in 2020, BLM leaders used their organizations’ funds to buy luxuries such as a massive Southern California mansion and to pay an art company run by the father of a BLM activist’s child to produce an expensive livestream event. BLM organizations have even dealt with internal disputes over money, including when fellow activists accused Black Lives Matter Grassroots Director Melina Abdullah in 2022 of spending the nonprofit’s funds on a vacation to Jamaica.

BLM NYC leader compares himself to MLK Jr after surrendering to police after being charged with assaulting black man

New York City’s Black Lives Matter founder compared himself to Martin Luther King Jr. and blasted his arrest as 'politically motivated' while turning himself in to police on assault charges.

Walter 'Hawk' Newsome, 48, turned himself in to the NYPD’s 28th Precinct in Harlem on Monday following allegations that he physically assaulted Democratic District Leader William Allen, 66, during a protest last week, according to The New York Post.

Supporters rallied outside as the activist strode toward the precinct with his fist raised high, proclaiming he was facing the same fate as Martin Luther King Jr.

'Recognize this as a step in the right direction. Not only do we fight racism - systemic, black racism - we fight the black faces of systemic oppression,' Newsome declared.

Newsome has since been charged with attempted felony assault, attempted misdemeanor assault and harassment.

Report: DOJ Investigating Black Lives Matter For Misuse of Donations

The Justice Department is probing whether Black Lives Matter (BLM) defrauded donors who sent the organization millions of dollars during the racial justice protests in 2020, the Associated Press is reporting.

Federal law enforcement authorities have issued subpoenas and served a search warrant as part of an investigation into the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc. that helped ignite protests in U.S. cities following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May 2020, anonymous sources told the wire service.

Protests in some locations resulted in deaths, rioting, looting, fires, and extensive property destruction.

The investigation actually began in the Biden administration, according to one of AP’s sources, and has received renewed attention during the Trump administration.

Critics have accused the nonprofit foundation of not being forthcoming about how it was spending its donations. Criticism piqued in 2022 when it was learned that some of the funds went to a $6 million home in Los Angeles with six bedrooms, six baths, a swimming pool, and other amenities.

BLM ... Fraud ... Money laundering ... Gasp!

A federal grand jury indicted the leader of the Black Lives Matter movement in Oklahoma City over allegations that millions of dollars in grant funds were improperly spent on international trips, groceries and personal real estate, prosecutors announced Thursday.

Tashella Sheri Amore Dickerson, 52, was indicted earlier this month on 20 counts of wire fraud and five counts of money laundering, court records show.

Beginning in late spring 2020, BLMOKC raised funds to support its social justice mission from online donors and national bail funds. In total, BLMOKC raised more than $5.6 million, including grants from national bail funds such as the Community Justice Exchange, Massachusetts Bail Fund, and Minnesota Freedom Fund. Most of those funds were routed through AFGJ, as fiscal sponsor, to BLMOKC.

  • recreational travel to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic for herself and her associates;
  • tens of thousands of dollars in retail shopping;
  • at least $50,000 in food and grocery deliveries for herself and her children;
  • a personal vehicle registered in her name; and
  • Six real properties in Oklahoma City were deeded in her own name or in the name of Equity International, LLC, an entity she exclusively controlled.

I'll bet her 'reparations' won't be anywhere near what she stole.

Protester Convicted of Assaulting NYPD Cop during 2020 BLM Violence Gets Slap on Wrist: ‘A repugnant verdict’

A protester convicted of assaulting an NYPD lieutenant on the Brooklyn Bridge during an ugly 2020 Black Lives Matter demonstration was sentenced to community service on Monday — a slap-on-the-wrist judgment that his victim blasted as an injustice.

Shaborn Banks won’t see any prison time for his part in the attack on Lt. Richard Mack as the Big Apple descended into chaos on July 15, 2020, following the murder of Minneapolis black man George Floyd, a judge ruled over the objections of Manhattan prosecutors.

"the city (San Francisco) is appropriating $0 dollars for this reparations fund; bill merely sets up the appartus for one. San Francisco has a major budget deficit — likely only reason this passed the mod-majority board is because it seeks private donations for it."

GROK: "On December 16, 2025, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an ordinance (authored by Supervisor Shamann Walton) establishing a Reparations Fund for Black residents. This fund aims to support implementation of recommendations from the city's African American Reparations Advisory Committee (AARAC, established in 2020), which in 2023 proposed ambitious measures like one-time $5 million payments to qualifying individuals, guaranteed annual income of $97,000, debt relief, and housing assistance.

Key Details on Funding
  • The ordinance creates the framework (the "apparatus") for the fund but allocates $0 from the city's general fund or budget at this time.
  • It allows the fund to receive future contributions through:
    • City appropriations (if/when the budget allows in later years), or
    • Private donations from individuals, foundations, corporations, businesses, and communities.
  • The San Francisco Human Rights Commission will manage and oversee the fund, with any expenditures subject to standard city approval processes (no automatic payouts)."

=============================================

So those on board with reparations can now put their money where their mouth is and make private donations to a reparation fund set up in San Francisco.

They are currently investing in mansions, high end automobiles, jewelry and vacations.......I doubt the private reparation fund will see much if any BLM money....How many millions will the DNC pour into this reparations fund

I fully support the growth of the Black Community and it's people; but I oppose the fraudulent scam known as BLM and it's swindling leaders stealing from people that truly want to see growth in their communities and environments. It's pathetic that the most polarizing, influential group for PoC that could have caused change turned out to be a complete money grab scam.

All BLM assets should be seized, sold, and given back to the local communities.

Will those that donate to the fund be outraged when $0.00 of their donations go toward reparations for black people?
