@swainevent: I'm hearing there's a strong chance Marquez North will forgo his Senior season and enter the NFL draft.
Makes sense IMO. No need in getting injured and sitting out another year in school. Go get that money.
Why in the world would anybody think Marquez North could make an NFL roster and play a lot? He can't stay healthy, can't get separation, can't put up any production in college, against much lesser talent? This is an awful idea.
If he does imo it is an indictment on the coaching and development he has received. If he thought he would be a part of a dynamic passing game and get better in college next season it would be a no brainer to come back to school.
It's best for him to leave. He will be great with the eye test so someone will get him. College hasn't treated him good.
He hasn't been healthy in two seasons. His lack of production has nothing to do with coaching or offensive strategy. He just hasn't been playing. Maybe that's why Josh Malone doesn't have great #s but it has nothing to do with North.
He could improve his stock by playing a full season healthy even if his numbers aren't great. I would certainly not draft a receiver who has barely played in 2 years because he had 400 yards receiving as a freshman. If he comes back next year, stays healthy, has 500 yards receiving and has a good combine then I'd draft him in a heartbeat. He has a lot to gain by staying. I'd be shocked if he gets drafted if he leaves this year.
My incentive to pull for this kid if he stays will be off the charts after some of the glib, dumbass rhetoric in this and other threads. He's an excellent receiver who showed glimpses of greatness in year 1 and has been hurt since.
Lol...ok, since you said so. Please refute any of it if you can.
