2 nit bids and on the bubble through 20 games this year. Do you need it spelled out for you any clearer? Or are nit bids and bubbles what you strive for.
Maymon, McRae, Stokes, Hall, J Rich, Golden. That's six top 150 guys right there. Granted they were young (outside of Hall) but not untalented.
Now go on the defense to prove your point while you cook the crow up.

Marquette has been to the Final Four. Tennessee hasn't. This wouldn't be a step down.
Claims he wants objectivity, then goes on emotional tangents.
Winning is easily determined by numbers. They're facts, not roundabout arguments over this or that.
Your claim was absurdly stupid, prove it wasn't.
Marquette has been a good program, but in the new athletics world of football based super conferences, their relevance in the athletics world is slipping. Even a basketball powerhouse like Kansas was looking at possibly joining a mid-major conference when the Big 12 was possibly imploding a few years ago.
They do spend a lot of money on basketball but it will get tougher to maintain their success as new super conferences take up all the prime real estate on television.
Emotional tangents...man you have some problems.
You like nit's and bubbles. I don't. Too complicated, too bad.

Before I get into my thoughts, I want to say that I'm proud of what the team did in the tourney. I also will say that I wouldn't be upset if CCM was extended here or left for somewhere else. I can get behind either of those outcomes.
Now, I will give CCM credit on the run at the end of the season and in the tourney. I believe the whole BBB petition helped him realize that majority of the fanbase was getting impatient. I think going forward it's possible he has this team playing like a Sweet 16 and Elite 8 team.
But, I'm not jumping on his bandwagon by no means. I understand that every team that makes the tourney is in the tourney for a reason. But looking at who we beat during the run at the end of the season and in the tourney, you can easily argue that competition wasn't the best. In my opinion, those are game we should have won anyway. I kinda feel like CCM was carried by the talent of the team there at the end. Even the Michigan game, I think we stayed close more so because of the players than CCM's coaching.
CCM hasn't done much outside of the Sweet 16 appearance in his 3rd season. In his first two season, we were knocked out of the NIT in the second and first rounds. He is 63-41(.606) with 1 NCAAT appearance(Sweet 16).
I'm not saying I hope he leaves, but it is easily justifiable for those who do. And if he stays, I'm fine with that too and I can understand that being the safer route in the long run.
Your boy Bruce didn't develop any of those guys. He had them, but didn't play them. 2010-2011. Stokes and JRich were Cuonzo's. Hall was so-so his whole time like Tatum. Golden has always averaged around 12-13 a game, McRae is the only one that took off and he did that 1and 1/2 years into the Cuonzo tenure. So in the last 3 years, Cuonzo and his coaches have produced McRae, Stokes and JRich. Pearl produced exactly squat unless you want to count maybe the only one and done UT has ever had in Tobias. I doubt Pearl taught him anything he didn't know already.

After reading so many posts bashing CCM, I have to ask... why do so many UT fans have problems with CCM's first two seasons and use them as proof of how bad he is? I understand the frustration with the inconsistency this season, but I think CCM actually overachieved in his first two seasons. Yes, I said that. I also have no problems with his recruiting because he recruits his system and we're starting to see how that works. Few systems are implemented within 2 seasons and sometimes it takes even more. Take a look at Duke and Michigan. They have great coaches, but their first three years weren't so stellar.
Ask yourself this: are you gonna hold last season's losing football record against Butch Jones? Or are you gonna evaluate him based on his system, personal integrity, and integrity of his program along with the rest of his body of work. Just be fair, guys.
