UT gave up 105 of Auburn's 459 total yards in the first quarter....were the Vols tired coming out of the locker room?
Monte's not going to bat 1.000 -- but Ohio had a good plan, and UCLA had a kid making his first road start and there were no picks in that game, either.
I think it's probably tough for Monte to go from being able to work unlimited hours with NFL players to prepare for a game to a 20-hour week.
Give Auburn credit for its plan and execution.
Lane Kiffin said it himself: UT got beat in all three phases of the game
Yep. Looking for a response to that garbage...
This BLOG just shows Griff's impotence as a writer and as an evaluator of logic in general. If we paid Monte Kiffin & Co. $5 Griff would be complaining that we did not extend our resources to bring in the best defensive staff in the nation this year. The reason you have to write blogs Griff is because no one with more than 3 brain cells would resort to paying you or wasting space in their newspaper for the illogical mass of words you assemble every week. Your ignorance to valid points in this thread does not automatically make you right. Why not just admit that you are in love with John Chavis and you don't agree with our decision to bring in a future NFL Hall of Famer as our defensive coordinator. What scheme should we have implemented Griff? The "lets magically make all of our injured defenders better and then give them the stamina to last being on the field for 19:31 of the first half" scheme? You don't scheme around your offense sucking, having injuries, and having no depth. The fact we held them to 26 points with the ineptitude of our offense is amazing. Get over your love fest with Chavis and realize there is a reason NO ONE takes your "opinions" seriously.
No....they were NOT good points! He snickers at EB getting knocked on his but (which didn't happen....the RB pulled up and caused what would've been a big collision to send EB flying in the air, barely glancing the RB....Goober Griff conveniently forgot the other big hits/plays EB delivered, and chooses to make fun of our best player...a top 5 NFL draft pick).Good points.

I've read a lot of posts/threads on this and there seems to be two main schools of thought:
1. Auburn had better players/more talent (mainly QB)
2. Auburn has a better scheme/coordinator
I'm just curious how many people think if Malzahn was our OC do we still lose to Auburn?
I made this anonymous btw.
You better hold your words til you have to play that offense...just wait...it's coming. What's more is despite our horrific offense (will be as long as CLK keeps Crompton in), the defense still shut down that offense much of the night....an offense with an avg 45 pts/game.
If Special Teams does their job, we come away with the win...even with Crompton tied behind our back.
LSU better watch out for the "jump pass"lol:We'll see how much Mustache praise is given when Tebow and UF torch Chavis for the third year in a row. (Fourth if you count Chavis' unbelievable inability to stop Tebow as a Freshman on 3rd/4th and short...)
