Mahoney: Vols' OL situation 'the best we've been in'

Loved the leadership skills of Tom Myslinski. He was that guy who would be in there chewing out the other four linemen if they messed up. Remember him more as a guard. One of my all-time fav's. From somewhere up on the East Coast.

Yep. He did mostly play guard and it was his natural position. I remember him playing a few games at center. I probably shouldn't have mentioned him with the other ones but like you, he was one of my favorite lineman to play at UT. Another also is Spencer Riley, loved his mean streak and nastiness.

People mentioning centers, Bob, Scott,Trey, and Fred are among the best to ever play the position for the Vols. I have to add John Fisher and Tom Myslinski in there as well. Like Weary, they also played some at guard.

Cole Cubelic with compliments on the o-line

“Tennessee likes to get things going on the outside and then utilize quarterback runs and gash you up the middle late. So having depth can help and finding the right five to play together to provide continuity can push this offense over the top and allows them to be special.”
