I thought "elite company" was part of the discussion, if it wasn't then excuse me. However if it's a Vol OL, and I think the world of BA's Scott Wells, and specifically the center position being discussed as elite, then from my perspective no one who has played on The Hill yet surpasses Bob Johnson a two time All American. Further the NFL sort of liked him only one Vol in history was drafted higher and that was Peyton Manning, where Bob Johnson was drafted at number #2.Bob Johnson goes back further than "20-30 years"

Scott Wells type of player..Yes!
IMO, Coleman Thomas has a chance to be the best center that we have had in 20-30 years.
Robertson and Wiesman at solid.
Some will disagree, but I like Chance Hall at Right Tackle.
Jack Jones had ups and downs but is a street fighter.
Kendrick may start at left tackle but Richmond will be pushing.
So that is seven. I believe that Boulware can play, so that makes eight.
Mosley has his weight down and was a heck of a player in high school. If needed, I think he might can handle left guard. So, that is nine.
Austin Sanders has orange blood. If he can make the leap, that would be ten.
Definitely, a vast improvement in talent and depth.
Yeah....but Simms was a tackling dummy.
He took hits that were nfl blitz moments.
I am shocked he still knows his name.
People mentioning centers, Bob, Scott,Trey, and Fred are among the best to ever play the position for the Vols. I have to add John Fisher and Tom Myslinski in there as well. Like Weary, they also played some at guard.
