Are you gonna come on here and tell the ones who believe we can get the upset that you were wrong if we win? I don't see you doing that.

I hope the Vols have a good rest of season and I hope it's a good game, can't say I hope the Vols win on Saturday though. Good luck, lets just hope for a good clean game.

There is a reason why they play the games. I will be the stupid guy in the end zone with the LSU shirt on in an ocean of orange, be nice. :)

Are you saying that they haven't been giving effort or that they have enough extra "umph" left in them to make a big impact vs. LSU's DL and LB. If they've got that much extra in them over a "chew out" from DD, then we have more than a bad stat problem

You mean to tell me that Austin Johnson is going to shut down the run game for LSU, and then Alabama?

And, during this immaculate rejuvenation, we are going to turn one of the worst run games in all of the 'AA suddenly around against the two best teams in the country?

Lastly, you're telling me that if I don't believe those two statements above, I'm not a fan?

We do have more than one player on defense. It's gonna take a full defensive effort from everybody in order to get an upset and everyone knows that.

We are outmatched at every position for this game. THe only way we have a shot is if they play at 50% and we play at 110%. And our coaches coach us at 110%. If they leave it all on the field on sat night we have a shot. Dooley is going to have to do some scheming this week to get ready. I would never say we cant win because something can always happen like them having 6 turnovers and 5 of those are pick 6's. Am I gonna kick my dog if it doesnt? Nope.

But I don't believe for a second the OP actually believes UT is going to win; I think they are just posting this so they can come back Saturday if the miracle happens and say "SEE I CALLED IT!"

I mean read his post, it's about as sappy as it gets.

No, I am saying that it is clearly obvious that one of the reasons that they are not run blocking that well is because they are not blowing off the ball. When a run play is called, their first move is to stand straight up, which is why they get blown into the backfield by the D line. I used to be an offensive lineman and we were always taught to fire off the ball low and hard. The lowest man in the trenches always wins the battle, because he has leverage! If you stand straight up, then you have already lost. Now, maybe our running plays are designed as zone reads and have zone blocking...to that I say forget the zone stuff. Line up and block the man in front of you whichever way he goes...destroy him!! I am hoping that they are getting angry by all the negative media about how sickening the running game is...that is all. I am not saying that they have not been trying or anything like that. They have actually done very well, for the most part, in pass protection...especially compared to last year. I hope that this is the week that we say let's go out and blow up the man in front of you! Fire off low and hard...that will get the job done!
