The NCAA now says Will Wade either arranged for or offered money to 11 recruits or people around them to get them to come to LSU - including Javonte Smart. I have no idea why it has taken so long for this to become a thing. The FBI had recordings of him talking about making 'a strong-ass offer' to a recruit months ago, but he managed to skate out somehow. He was suspended by LSU, but for some unknown reason he was reinstated and able to keep his job and move on. I am assuming that he just lied to the University about his involvement, otherwise I suspect they would have let him go on the spot. Too bad for LSU, because according to the report on ESPN, the NCAA President of Enforcement said this "...He is employed in a leadership position at LSU, yet the institution has been unable to secure his full cooperation and is accountable for his behavior." Accountable for his behavior is the operable phrase to take out of that.
