Love Barnes 2nd half was on him

This was a pitiful excuse for coaching. He may can recruit....but any of you could have called this better. I suspect he's a fraud.
A fraud with 720 wins. God I dont want to sunshine pump after a bad loss but some of y'all are as emotional and as knowledgable about basketball as an 8 year old girl

The trap thing was coaching. Why we kept falling for it is pathetic.

But the rest? All on the players. How many turnover did we have where we literally handed them the ball or let them easily steal it? How many TERRIBLE shots? How many missed FTs?

PATHETIC effort by this team. PATHETIC.

Making no adjustments for the trap is on him; but then again the players effed up every other aspect of the game so who knows maybe they were too stupid to break it.

Unreal how everyone of them played like sh**.

I agree the trap thing is on him. Free throw shooting, however is on the players. Our guys get sweaty hands whenever they go to the line.

In addition to the things that have been pointed out, Barnes seems to think the object of the game is to finish with no players fouling out, instead of just scoring more than the other team.

It's ok if a player fouls out every now and then. In many instances it means their minutes were maximized.

He also seems to get angry at his players and not call time outs out of frustration with them to prove some kind of point.

Just a frustrating night all around.

And no, criticizing Barnes doesn't mean you want him fired.

Well, my dad was a basketball coach for 43 years, and the dean of Nashville coaches. I've been to more games than you've been to the bathroom. If your team isn't adapting to zone defense, which you've obviously coached them to, you bring them in and calm them down to adjust. This was a poorly coached 2nd half....

Absolutely on the coach. But if the guys would have made 1 more free throw or 1 more field goal when they went like 1-17 over 12 minutes, his game would have been at the very least in Overtime

Again, realistically, who are we hiring that’s better than Barnes?

None of the guards reacted well to the traps. Ole Miss played aggressive and we played passive. Not a very good attribute this time of year. Expect we will be up and down the rest of the year. Just who we are.

You're 100% correct but it should NEVER have been this close. We just literally sat still and didn't respond.

Whine about the coaching.

I’m sure Danny White will hire someone better after hiring Josh Heupel.

Be careful what you wish for.
You think heupel is a bad hire considering the circumstances of our football program? What a stupid statement. Barnes hasn’t done anything in the ncaa tournament for 6 years. We got to the sweet 16. That’s it.
