Lots of hostile

Rivera had to play with Worley and Simms as qb, he was on the watch list when bray was qb

Total D- We were ranked 28th on total defense. We held a lot of team under 20 points. Sacks are a problem but teams usually try to run the ball down our throats. Interceptions, we had PWagg playing safety, Janzen gone, and 2 true freshmen back there. Of course our secondary won't be great. Janzen made that whole unit extremely better.

Bray- Preseason All Sec, which is chosen by coaches, did not have Bray on one list. They chose Auburn's qb ahead of him if that tells you anything. Bray was considered a true gunslinger and inaccurate by a lot of reporters. No one, not even UT fans, expected him to do as good as he did.

Mo Couch- Never said he was, but you'd be lying if you said he wasn't a great counterpart later in the year to Malik Jackson.

AJ still had very limited experience at MLB, that position is the quarterback on defense, he had to learn the position in less than 2 years, and he exceeded everyone's expectations.

How'd our defense do when we played LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas?

noway.an injury here and a injury there hurt us to much. next year we'll be able to absorb a few.

Skeeter. Trying to reason and use logic with emotional _____ (fill in the blank) is a losing proposition. Count me in for the long haul when we get some good players in. That will turn things around. Coaches will look like geniuses when talented and experience players are executing. Then the good results will go viral and fans will be happy again.

Bray still hasn't done anything against anyone relevant.

AJ wouldn't start on any other team in the league.

Z. Rogers wouldn't start on any other D1 team.

When has Bray gotten the chance? He played against a UNC team that had 5 draft picks on it and 2 projected first round draft picks on it.

Probably not, but he was never the problem. He played hard and was a bright spot on our team. He was usually in the right position.

He would start for non bcs teams but I dont know why you brought Z Rogers up.

i think we see a little different offense next year. its not fair for me to say whether i think cjc is the right man for the job or not. if you go back and look at coaches that has to rebuild a program, usually the 3rd year is when you see the big jump.

and next year just happens to be Dooley's 3rd year. Shocking

I think there is plenty of evidence to show that Chaney is a terrible play caller.

Pretty good against LSU, fatigue destroyed us.

Bama exposed our secondary, they couldn't run the ball on us. Richardson got under 100 yards.

Arky matched extremely well against us, there was no way we were stopping their recievers with our dbs.

Sounds good Skeet!
When asked in an interview "What is your primary weakness?" I always, say it is my lack of patience. I have another year in me and will continue to support CDD. I guess all of this negativity will wear on you. Hard to stay positive when all you are reading on here is crap.

Your right, LSU was fatigue, but still owned us.

And who decided to blitz McCarron, and it never worked?

Skeeter - I understand your point in the OP and so I'm not saying anything negative about our staff. I'll use code names for discussion purposes. I heard today that Emmet was finally "retiring". Do you know of any other cast changes we may see before next season premieres?

Athletic Director = Andy Griffith = Dave Hart
Head Coach = Barney Fife = Derek Dooley
Offensive Coordinator = Otis Campbell = Jim Chaney
WR Coach = Emmet Clark = Charlie Baggett
Offensive Line = Floyd Lawson = Harry Hiestand
QB Coach = Howard Sprague = Darin Hinshaw
TE/Special Teams = Rafe Hollister = Eric Russell
Defensive Coordinator = Sam Jones = Justin Wilcox
Linebackers = Opie Taylor = Peter Sirmon
Defensive Line = Johnny Paul = Lance Thompson
Defensive Backs = Goober Pyle = Terry Joseph

TIA. :)

Skeeter, if virtually the entire staff turns over, we absolutely shouldn't just blindly give Dooley another year. At that point, Hart has a decision to make. If that doesn't happen, I agree that it's a near 100% certainty that Dooley will return.

Bray didn't look good against UF and UGA, lack of a running game hurt, but he didn't show me much.

Anybody but Derrick Dooley.

This is the exact approach that lands us another loser as coach. This "anybody but Dooley" stuff is pure garbage. If we're going to change coaches, it's not to get anybody but Dooley, it's to get someone to win championships. If there is a legitimate debate on whether the coach is better than Dooley, we shouldn't hire that coach. Period. Some of you seem to have developed this strange hatred for Dooley; let's all be glad that it's not people like you running things in the AD.

What is garbage is that we are paying a wac coach with a losing record twice what he is worth. We got what we paid for.

Horse**** I guarantee you there were plenty of head coaches more qualified then Dooley that would have loved to be the HC at Tennessee. Maybe nobody on Hamilton's short list wanted the job (for what he was willing to offer) anyway. Hamilton's list could have been as long Santa's christmas list and still had coaches more qualified then Dooley. Quit trying to manipulate fans into thinking Dooley was the best we could get.

That's the thing..... NO ONE wanted the job. FREAKING CUTCLIFFE TURNED US DOWN!!!! A coach for Duke said no..... When Dooley took the job, there was an NCAA investigation and a team that just lost a coaching legend. "Most people said thanks but no thanks". its a hard pill for us fans to swallow, but UT isn't the sell it use to be. Will it be back there? no doubt in my mind!!! It's gonna take some time.

You shouldn't be so vague with your feelings. It is hard to tell where you stand on issues.

That's the best you can do because you know what I said is true.

hamilton done the best he could while trying to make sure a recruiting class was salvaged. kiff could not have left at a worst time. if it had been like the osu situation and a coach left in the spring, maybe he promotes within and waits. people like you make it sound so easy and its not. noone wanted to be the 3rd coach in 18 months. believe what u want, i couldnt care less.
