The most impressive turnaround of a bottom-feeder program definitely belongs to Dawn Staley at South Carolina. What she has built there after starting from the bottom is so incredible that if anyone had told me 20 years ago that South Carolina women's basketball would eventually win national championships I would have instantly felt sorry for that person for having whatever mental illness they had that made them delusional.
But here we are!
