looks like Jazmine is leaving

having read DeerPark for background and the Mad poster with the funny hat on appropriate responses rather than inuendos and rumors I am satisfied that I know enough. thx

To clarify, I suggested she might be leaving to play with her girlfriend, which I'm not sure why that's an unreasonable knee-jerk guess right after the announcement. I never made any kind of commentary about her "life choice.'
I know...I'm quite certain your post had nothing to do with Jaz's Facebook post, so I'm not sure why some are making some correlation.

So alright, let's think about this from someone's perspective, who watches, and sees certain players at certain positions, players who seem talented in many ways but also turn the ball over a lot. They watch Tennessee struggle with protecting the ball, bringing it up court, keeping it in their hands in pressure situations -- and that happens all season long. I think it's perfectly understandable for that person to think "wow, they must not have a point guard, they could really use one." Because if they had someone who was their go-to for that, surely they would use them. Something along those lines. I don't have an explanation for why players were are certain spots during games this year, I'm not trying to mount a defense of the assertion itself. I'm saying it's reasonable for someone to read a stat sheet and see the atrocious turnover total and the assist-to-turnover ratio, watch Tennessee struggle to handle pressure all year, and think "jeez, guys, get a point guard to hold on to the ball." I'm not saying they're right or wrong, I'm saying I can see that it makes sense how they would get to that conclusion.

I do more than watch, I chart turnovers immediately after some of the viewable games:

Do you chart only bad plays?

Not at all, at first I did it for my own gratification when the board was keying in on turnovers I wanted to see for myself what it was.

This grid was from the Miss St game
it is one thing to hear: 23 turnovers,
quite another to see them
and also, the explanation on the left was the explanation given on the live-stat link
I took their times and looked at each instance and charted what each actual event caused the turnover
As you can see some are the same as listed, some dramatically different

I did this not to point out the bad, but on the premise that someone in the administration might do the same thing instead of just looking at a stat sheet and accepting what it said

This is something I would do if in Al Brown's position...Coach K needs to know what turnovers are prevalent and consistent, what turnovers are not the player's fault and what turnovers to pinpoint in meeting with the team.

Which Wildcats? If it's Kentucky only in womens basketball can you do direct transfers within the conference.

Right, she definitely left due to VolNation criticism. A wonder any players stay 4 years and graduate.

She left to play with players she knows from Tennessee ! End of story ......

She even mentioned KiKi a Tennessee girl that played AAU ball against her.... We could have easily had her but not rated high enough for UT ? A solid contributor on the Kentucky team and lived close enough to Knoxville that she probably could have walked to campus ....

Treasure and Howard are Chattanooga girls and there you go ! Most players want to play with good players .... especially if they know each other ! Nuff said .

I believed that @DeerPark12 said that Tennessee would be "settling" if they offered KeKe a scholarship. Given the performance of the two teams during her career to date, I doubt that she regrets that Tennessee didn't lower themselves to offer her.

I never said that, don't know where you got that.

I said that the previous staff recruited Ryne Howard much harder than Howard claims they did. But I vowed to leave that one in the past, and I will. She's the only member of the Kentucky roster that I can recall weighing in on.

As a person If Massengill left to be happy let her go and I wish her well. As a fan I have so many thoughts. She as a Lady Vols didnt seem one to be in the offense and never was an option to score. Is that a reason she left, I personally will never know. Maybe Mitchell and staff will bring something out of her. As a LV she never was one to shoot a layup consistently and missed FT more than an SEC guard should. I just dont find her all that good personally as a player, but maybe she needs a new scene. I will root for her regardless as long as she isnt play my LV. Cant help but root for her going forward as long as she bricks shots when she plays the Lady Vols.
