"Those in Nashville area surviving off of gas powered generators, natural gas or propane stoves/fireplaces: Now is a good time to remind you that if the Left had their way- all of these things would be banned for their "green energy" crusade. Yes, they really are that dumb. Just saying.

Thankfully, our Republican led state government passed a law in 2023 preventing liberal cities like Nashville from implementing such bans like they have in other liberal states. The vast majority of Democrats voted against the bill (because they wanted Nashville to have the ability to enact such a ban). Middle TN should really be thanking our Republican leaders right now. If not for them, who knows just how bad it could be out there."

Local politics are much different than federal politics. Sometimes you have knuckleheads but many live directly in the communities they serve. Often there is no delusion about what they see versus the next citizen. This brings me to my next statement.

Politicians want O'Connell gone. I think on both sides of the aisle. The person I spoke with I saw on stage at the Kamala Harris rally in Nashville past year. Otherwise I don't know they she ever declares her party publicly so it's doesn't seem to be partisan.

The bill bans retaliation against students and faculty for protected speech; bans universities from turning down speakers if their speech is deemed controversial or cancelling a speaker based on student backlash; emphasizes protections for certain political beliefs; and allows any resident of the state, regardless of enrollment, to sue a school for having their speech interfered with.

They didn't burn them They put them in the adult section. If parents want their kids to read/see those books, they can escort them there to do so.
