LNS: Is the Hornet’s Nest Gone?

Those are also resell seats with reasonable people. UT isn't being reasonable.
The fact remains there are numerous affordable seats for this weekend’s series. I’d encourage fans to take advantage of affordable tickets for the last big weekend SEC series. GBO.

The screenshot includes all in (includes fees) TM pricing. The only additional fee would be taxes. Both Fri and Sun games with actual seats are $30. Sat is $50. Very reasonable pricing for a HUGE final weekend series with great weather!

Have to admit, the current resale prices are shockingly low for a series against Vandy. Sure, this is affected by it being Mothers Day Weekend and there’s rain in the forecast, but still shocking. But, it doesn’t bode well for people projecting this weekend to be the return of the hornet’s nest. Although, perhaps these prices will attract fans who couldn’t afford prior series?

The Return of the Riff Raff!

I’m here for it!

225$ face value for a single behind home plate, 145$ all the way down right field face value. And someone has entire rows of however many seats are in a row for sale, UT has to fix this. For 225$ I can spend 2 nights at the beach. View attachment 740743

ummmmm a tent in @chuckiepoo backyard does not qualify as beach. 👀

The fact is that people complain about not being able to go but when you can't sell tickets to a Vandy weekend, people need to stop complaining. Yes. I'm going to repost this every time someone complains about not getting to watch the Vols play.
Agreed. Plenty of opportunities to watch Vols baseball at reasonable prices. People would rather complain than make an effort. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

I think the price of tickets and the Hornets Nest are separate issues. Obviously there’s a correlation, but the Hornets Nest is an attitude. It’s can’t be bought, the folks at the game control the environment 100%.
My family can confirm that I’m hoarse after a weekend at LNS. I usually don’t get my voice back until Tuesday. Maybe Wednesday.

If you are saying I won’t have to listen to my wife if I send her to the weekend games, I may have to revisit my response to @preacherman20’s questions about how much I am willing to pay for game tickets!

(FTR, KIDDING!; my bride is lovely in EVERY way!)

I think the stadium will be more hostile when the tournament starts. I believe everyone will hear a big difference in noise when we host a Regional in a few weeks. It's money time then and everyone will know it after winning the National Championship I think we as fans are just ho humming it through regular season.

I will say this: I wanted to come to a game this season, but the price of tickets were extremely prohibitive. Between tickets, parking, concessions, transportation costs (gas), hotel (I live in West TN so I'd have to stay somewhere), etc., I would've been looking at a price close to my mortgage payment in order to attend a weekend of baseball games! That is not feasible for me right now, especially in this economy; would also imagine I'm not the only person who is in that situation.

In 2021, I got pissed because long time members here were not able to get/afford tickets to the super regional games. I went online and bought almost $10k worth of tickets just to give away. About half of the tickets I gave away on here were sold. One member here, forgetting where he got his MVP seats, came on here later bragging how he sold his MVP seats for a huge profit and stood in line for standing room only seats.

Appreciate the information and that your budget does not allow the non-ticket costs.

I remember how incredibly kind you were to do that for people. I didn’t realize that some jerks took advantage of your generosity.

LOL. Yea, it happened. On the other hand, there were several on here that were very grateful and sent me some very kind "thank yous".
Two of the seats were right next to my brother and nephew. One game those seats were occupied by, what he described as, two very nice people from Vol Nation. The other game he sat next to two LSU fans. LOL

I hope you got some solace watching LSU get their teeth kicked in again and knowing those people witnessed it.

That really stinks. People can be very selfish and dishonest.

I had fun buying the tickets. I got drunk and went on a mission. When the purchases hit $8000, my wife got the security call from the bank wanting to know if it was really us making all the purchases. LOL. I got the scream from the other side of the house. " TxBo, WTF are you doing!"

Sadly, LOL, that's not the dumbest thing I've done during a season. That came in 2022.

Wow, that sucks!!!!! I remember you doing that and was highly impressed by your generosity! Shame on those people! Guess there will always be scumbags out there 🤦‍♂️
