Not Taylor, but I'm assuming the work on Pat Summitt leading down the hill to Todd Helton will drag on somewhat unless they change the plans. The renderings show a lot of work to be done out there.

I’m not sure. Point is it should have been 100% completed by Feb 2026, and must have some relatively substantial work left to officially announce the new completion date of 2027 (which will be a 3-year project vs original 1-year timeline).

Didn't the cost go from 80mil to 105mil ? Could be waiting for the money to become available. Just me guessing.

Seating would be a quantum leap out there. Even just drink rails would be a step.

I still advocate for calling it Frank's Arm Bar and allow students to bring in their own buckets to sit on as a nod to Anderson. (For $20 you can bring in a specified number of drinks on weekdays or something like that).

I haven’t heard either way. When I was there a few weeks ago, there had been no changes to the student section. N

I’ve wondered the same. My guess is the powers-that-be automatically assumed that students wanted to stand all the time at athletic events anyway, and thought this would be a less expensive mechanism to cut costs where they could. This all relates to the student/younger folks calling out the “blue hairs” for having good seats but not standing to cheer.

Personally, I really don’t know the reasoning, but I do think students should have the option to sit or stand. My hair isn’t blue yet, but it is gray so maybe I’m reaching towards the famed blue hair status before too long. Anyway, take care of the students’ needs and offer them something unique that they will appreciate. There were way too many times when that student section was no where close to full.

There are rails to lean on. I bought standing room seats for regionals. I managed just fine and ive Got quite a few years on the students.

No worries. Just venting over losing Vitello. Been thru a ton of coaching changes over 7 decades, but this one really left a mark with me.

There was room to put a few rows in the area on the 1st new mezzanine. You could access from there. see my picture in the yellow area. You could probably have 6-7 rows and still ample underneath.

It’s going to be virtually impossible to significantly expand seating without adding bleachers in the outfield. Without rerouting the road this won’t happen. I thought they could have the upper deck stands all the way down the base lines, like Arkansas has.

They could lower the fences to about 3 foot and put bleachers all along the outfield to the middle. I'm all for now that my son is not a pitcher anymore. We would reset that HR record.
