Sounds like thatās pretty good news! Praying for you and your family. Love your attitude! Inspiring!Hey! I started my 2nd round of chemo today. The doctors were very pleased, as was I, with how the first round went. All of my side effects, which includes neuropathy and an extreme cold sensitivity were very mild for me. A couple nights I had severe stomach cramps but having 12 out of 14 pretty good days was nice. Side effects more pronounced today but hopefully it'll level off.
I even have my own page now. I can in "Cancerbook".

Thereās no question the upgrades are an improvement. Just speaking candidly to the problems compared to some of the better parks Iāve seen. One, the dimensions are really small. A good bit of the seating behind home plate is absurdly cramped. The first base side of the stadium is crammed up against fraternity houses. I mean insanely crammed. The 3rd base side is up against the practice facility. You canāt even walk around the perimeter of the stadium once inside. The outfield is pinched by a road and a hideous rail yard. All of these things limit access, concessions and rest rooms.
One thing that is overlooked is that the footprint of the stadium property hasn't/can't change. So you sacrifice dimension for seating.Thereās no question the upgrades are an improvement. But the overall footprint isnāt the same. The foul territory, which is technically part of the playing surface got significantly reduced in the remodel. Still donāt have a proper dugout and itās so close to home plate it resulted in a player getting severely injured, if not almost getting killed. One thing that is overlooked is that the footprint of the stadium property hasn't/can't change. Iāll still be there. Iāve only missed a handful of games on the last three years. Just pointing out these issues. Keep in mind, part of the delays are due to encountering unknown utilities around the stadium. Sounds like they failed to do due diligence. Original plans called for a practice facility and even a residence hall.

Dont get me wrong, Iāll be there. I donāt know how much Iāve spent in beer the last few years, but I think it affords me some constructive criticism. Afterall, this is it. Not much else can happen going forward. The fact is, most of the upgrades will be off limits to the common fan. My apologies if I donāt drink the koolaid and say, āthank you!āWhere have you been for the last 25 years? We need to appreciate what we have with the upgrades going on.
None of the blueprints they had access to had utilities in the area where they were digging. There are utilities behind the right field wall which why they canāt do anything there. They tried to come up with a plan to work around it but nothing would work. The stadium is going to look great when itās done. Logistically, crowd flow will be better as well. In terms of field dimensions, Iāve never liked that are dimensions are so small. I wish they would move the fences 10 ft back, but thatās just me.But the overall footprint isnāt the same. You werenāt getting a perfect stadium with the remodel. Honestly the best option would have to tear the whole thing down and start over, but thatās wasnāt feasible.Dont get me wrong, Iāll be there. Do you pay for baseball season tickets? Some of us have watched some pretty bad baseball in a subpar stadium for a long time. Glad for the improvements, but have to be honest about the end product. Some folks would complain if you gave them a pie. Why? Because that's how they roll.
So you took that as directed at you. Well bless your heart. Throw a rock into a pack of dogs and a hit dog will yelp.Do you pay for baseball season tickets? Have you seen pricing? I have quality seats that have gone up a significant amount, and still no access to any real amenities. I have better access to amenities with general admission seats at Smokies Stadium. Granted, Iām indifferent to whether the Smokies win. When you attend 25+ games, plus buy regional and supers tickets, these are things that come to mind.
And minor league ball does all kind of fun promotions. Despite success, the UT midweek games are still sparsely attended. Do you think theyād draw better with half price beer? I do.
Your post had no context (literally zilch) and I was the last to comment. My bad. I donāt know how I could have ever jumped to such wild, unfounded conclusion. My sincerest apologies. So you took that as directed at you. Well bless your heart. Throw a rock into a pack of dogs and a hit dog will yelp.

The Product on the field isnāt under question. Iāve certainly never brought it up. However, if youād ever been to other premier SEC stadiums youād know what Iām talking about. With the prices weāre seeing now, itās only fair to expect a better fan experience.Your amenity is great seats to watch a national championship program play baseball. We have a small land-locked stadium. There is very little they can do to transform the footprint of the stadium. A facelift and expanded seats is the best we can hope for and Iām just glad weāre getting that.
We do need more restrooms and concessions. More food choices would be good. And dadgum it...what do we have to do to get a little Vols helmet with soft serve ice cream in it?The Product on the field isnāt under question. Iāve certainly never brought it up.
