Now we’re talking! Why can’t we move the utilities? I know we got engineers that will tell you it can be done. The question is cost and commitment.

Yes, sometimes it is cost. Often times it is there's a need for separation between utilities (not enough room), in addition, it can be a big, big disruption to other facilities needing said utilities (i.e....really tough to cut a power bank to a building that is using it).

Not much of an engineer, but I would assume the rerouting would have to occur out in front of the transfer of the services to the new route. I can easily see cost ruling out any near feasible solution. Just supporting a fellow rabble rouser!

Some transfer would need to happen, regardless of what utility it is. How that is phased and planned is up to the actual engineer...and the owner, steakholders, etc. We put a man on the moon.....give an engineer enough time and money, we'll do anything (most anything) you want. The utilities can be moved...just a function of time, money, and interruption of services to others.

The electric kind of crosses through the small lot on the corner but it follows the road after about center field.

I have no idea the rules when it comes to utilities so this may be a dumb question.

I'm sure more permanent structures are a no go (unless you want to spend the money required to reroute)... But can temporary structures be built over them at all?

They can move anything they want. Period. It’s just how much they’re willing to spend. After visiting the new Smokies stadium it does show you the deficiencies. Big open concourses, incredible and plentiful concessions. Other amenities. Most important, Knee room. The seats behind home plate are horrible at LNS. Oh, and real grass. Might have been advisable to have kept LNS a practice facility and built a new stadium at the Cherokee campus or maybe even Tyson Park.

I always thought a stadium on the river at the Cherokee Campus would have been AWESOME.

However, the wealthy property owners (Many prominent boosters) on the opposite bank were never going to stand for it. The property owners allegedly cancelled out several plans the university had for the place. ie intramural fields, dormitories, etc. They are definitely not going to support a baseball stadium with parking lots/garages.

Hey! I started my 2nd round of chemo today. The doctors were very pleased, as was I, with how the first round went. All of my side effects, which includes neuropathy and an extreme cold sensitivity were very mild for me. A couple nights I had severe stomach cramps but having 12 out of 14 pretty good days was nice. Side effects more pronounced today but hopefully it'll level off.
I even have my own page now. I can in "Cancerbook".

Keep your chin up! Glad you are doing well!
PS I spent the 22 season taking my Dad to daily radiation treatments for brain cancer and then during most of the 24 season. LNS made for a great respite and was something that I cherished to get out of the hotel and hospitals. I look forward to buying you a cold drink of your choice (or a hot one) at LNS in Feb!

Based on their pace? No way. They continued to work through the season and progress was insanely slow. I for sure thought they’ve have all the infrastructure and frame work done by now.
