Lindsey Nelson Stadium,

Been awhile since I checked in. Life has thrown me one of its most wicked curveballs since I last posted. I just got back to Knoxville from MD Anderson in Houston. What I thought was Mild GI distress turned out to be pancreatic cancer. I get this isn't the proper thread for this this type of post but it just struck me to post in here as I was looking at the pictures. Stats say I won't see the home opener in the new stadium but I am dismissing it. My future home with Christ is already assured, so I've been working on a list of reasons to hang around here for awhile longer. It might be pretty far down after seeing my son married and daughter have grandchildren but sitting in my seat at the edge of the grandstand on opening day is absolutely on there. My real name is Brian. I hope you will pray for me and we share a conversation of our love of baseball the next time I'm in LNS. Who knows, I may just stick around to go back to Omaha too. This is great community in here and I hope to be discussing baseball with all of you for a long time to come.
Thanks for sharing with us and I will definitely pray for you bud!
Looking forward to your opening day stories.
😎

Thanks for sharing this Brian. I’ll occasionally get a tap on the shoulder too. We’ll be praying for you and your family, your physicians and for your healing. Sharing with other prayer warriors… 🙏

Brian, I am visiting my mom and she just shared that a cousin has pancreatic cancer and spots on her liver. She has been having chemo and her latest scan showed her spots are gone and the tumor has shrunken. There is no faith grade but no doubt you have it. Praying you have many more opening days. Life's game is not over for you.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, Brian. Stay strong and remember God’s got you. Much love
