My wife RV is a perfect example of stopping and smelling the roses. When she was 28 her heart was attacked by an agressive bacteria called para-influenza II. By the time she was diagnosed it had already eaten away a lot of her Mitral valve. Doctors gave her a 50/50 chance of survival. After 30 days of intense anti-biotics thru a pic-line inserted through her arm at the elbow into her heart, she won. It tooks weeks for her to walk by herself again and to do even the simpliest things. She lives everyday as if it were her last and has inspired me to do the same. Congratulations RV! She made it to 40 this past weekend. We know eventually she will have to have heart surgery to replace the leaking valve, but for now she literally stops and smells every flower she comes across.
