Sure, some. Its his job to motivate them. But it has to be tough getting them motivated to give their all for 30 game sleading up to the tournament when they were a shoo-in to get in and when they had won it all last year. Somehow, Donovan needs to get them excited about winning again. Right now, they don't seem to care.
I think a couple of your players have daydreams throughout each day thinking about all the cash money they're getting ready to make in the NBA.

I know I would be.

I think that when they won the SEC regular season title and appeared to have all the adoration in the world coming their way after 17 straight wins, they took the foot of the gas pedal. And now that there is some traffic passing them on the right, they are having trouble finding it again.

I'm sure that's part of it, too. But I'm also sure their agents are whispering in their ear a little more frequently these days as well.

Congratulations, Vols. Flat out whupped the Gators last night. And while its obvious that Florida is not playing its best right now, that is no excuse at all and I think that UT played so well that even a really good Florida effort would not have made any difference in the outcome.

UT really does remind me a lot of Florida last year in the sense that they are peaking and coming together at the right time. Also, very unselfish play by everyone. That assist on the three by Lofton in the first half was top shelf.

You were in before, but this game gives you the big mo and probably an excellent seeding in the tournament, particularly if you win again and then get to SEC finals. I have some thoughts about Florida, but this is a congralutory thread and so I'll save them for another thread.

Well done, Vols. :hi:
Just so you know Law, I fully expect the Gators to flip their season around asap.Even if they don't win at Kentucky, I'd say on a neutral court they will be the Gators of old.My early prediction is either the Gators or Vols winning the SEC tourney.I also don't see teams such as Wisconsin and or Ohio State playing with Florida to be honest.

An SEC tourney championship would be very nice and I agree with OWB, it just give more experience and momentum going to the dance, IMHO.

The Kentucky game is at Florida, if memory serves. At any rate, I wish I had your confidence in the ability of this team to get it turned around. Losing three of your last four as you head to March... Not good.
