Rucker posted he had a source telling him it was Calhoun.
Today, Hyams is predicting Cut and Brown if that fails.

Who else was saying Muschamp yesterday and who started the whole press conference rumor yesterday?

I'm also pretty sure several others were saying Calhoun today.

A bunch have been calling Calhoun. Chris Low almost made the prediction on ESPNEWS 15 minutes ago.

I think it will be someone that has ben brought up already but is still laying kind of low. I would love to have Muschamp and see what kind of staff he puts together, but I don't think that's gonna happen. But I predict that it's either someone that hasn't been talked about a lot... or at all.

found this funny on a sooners board:

"Tennessee is not Texas. He has everything he could want in Austin. Recruits. Money never a problem. 1-3 difficult games per year. His wife and kids love it here. At Tennessee he would step into the 3rd of 4th best program in the SEC West. Have to work his *** off to try to beat 'Bama. LSU, Auburn every year as well as find a staff when most hires have been made already. It's a hornets' nest. Here he just is patient, learns how to be a CEO of an $85 million dollar enterprise and steps into a $4M job with an intact staff already in place in a few years. He is only 38 years old.

Just reported he turned down a $3M+ salary at Tenn and neither asked for or was offerred a raise to stay here.

My sources are telling me the next head coach at The University of Tennessee is none other than Miley Cyrus. Miley became the leading candidate for the job after expressing slight interest while watching the Kiffin news on ESPN following a Disney concert. Miley will bring with her both of the Jonas brothers, who will take turns being offensive and defensive coordinators. Hillary Duff is also rumored to have already been promised a position on the staff, but I cannot confirm or deny this as of yet.
Miley was first discovered by Mike Hamilton when he attended her "Party in the USA" tour in late November. It was during this concert that Hamilton just knew that Miley had what it took to be a hardworking, loyal coach, who would definitely have a natural strength at appealing to 18 year old boys. He approached her after the concert, leaving her with his card. He could have never known that months later Kiffin would bolt for an easier schedule in Southern California. After the news spread of Kiffin's departure, Miley contacted Hamilton and the two worked out a deal before bedtime last night. Miley is of course not of the legal age of majority, so the deal between Hamilton and Miley was actually signed by her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. A source close to the recent hiring quoted Miley as saying "I look forward to embracing all of the Tennessee traditions and singing Rocky Top in a 3D concert all night long after we beat Florida next year."

hard to argue with that...I love knoxville - but it is a mud hole compared to Austin.

i'm going to say cutcliff or brown, mainly because they are the worst hires out there, but nobody seems to want the job. might as well bring back phil. we are doomed anyway.

So you KNOW for a fact that Kippy Brown would be the worst hire out there ?? You Know for a fact that Kippy would be an awful coach ? Just how many all-americans did Coach Brown bring to UT, and who was the recievers coach when we were wide reciever U ? So that means nothing to you at all ? He is from here, wants to be here, at least give him a chance. With fans like you who needs a bamer .... Put on your Gator hat and have another drink !! :banghead2:

Did you not notice that the op on the other board put us in the SEC WEST or just didn't acknowledge it? That's what I thought was the funny part...
