Are you criticizing the critics?I realize that everyone who is a Vols fan is disappointed in the program over the last decade and have BVS, we have been disrespected by the sports media for far too long, and the last coaching search was a debacle, to say the least. We have people posting on here who call the players bad names and talk about how bad they are, wanting a coaching change after the first two games of the season, making disparaging remarks about the coaches. We as fans need to understand what kind of affect we can have on the program, both good and bad. When the players are called something like liquid garbage, like I saw in a post this morning, that is totally uncalled for. Support our guys, make encouraging posts, and let the recruits know we support them and want them instead of making remarks that may change their minds about coming to Tennessee. When a player is singled out and repeatedly criticized, a highly rated recruit who plays that position and is strongly considering Tennessee may chose to go somewhere else, so they don't have to endure that type of ridicule. So what say we knock off the negativism toward the players and coaches and support the team. And yes, I am disappointed in the way the season has gone so far, but I'm not going to be making any of the comments I have seen on here from some posters. Let's get behind the team instead of being so critical all the time. It seems like Fulmer said during the introductory press conference for Pruitt that it would take 4-5 years to get it turned around, yet here we are with people calling for Pruitt's head after fifteen games.
I expected I would get some responses like this. Thanks for proving it.Bless your heart , I dont think your rallying the fan base speech is working? I am just wondering, if recruits reads this message board then more than likely they are reading other teams message boards. VN is not going to be the major decision for any recruit not to come to Tn. Getting embarrassed by GS and looking inept against BYU is going to play a major roll in that decision. But your kumbaya ,lets have a coming together lecture is a failure I am afraid. But at least you tried. With that saying , this team is![]()
I'm old enough to not be hyper sensitive like a lot of people are now days. Yeah, the GS game was a shock to everyone, including me, but I still believe if Pruitt has the time to get the roster turned over, he will get the job done. It's called patience, but so many are into instant gratification that they don't have any patience. The guys that Pruitt has brought in are playing very well, so 15 games is not enough time to pull the trigger on him.If recruits donāt come here because of things āfansā say on a message board then those recruits are mighty thin skinned.
Besides, this team got man handled by a GaSt team that got beat by 47 against W Michigan.
Thatās gonna take time and winās to get over, period.
BTW, if the wins donāt come, you might want to steer clear of message boards and the media, because it can get a lot uglier......................
You're right, my bad. Let's can the whole staff right now. Release all the players on scholarship and start over. Really, I love Tennessee football and want to see a better product on the field myself, but this was a long term fix from the get go. Patience little one, patience. When you go to an expensive restaurant and they bring you cold food that tastes like horse manure, do you thank them and tell them they're doing a great job? Kind of the same concept here - it's not difficult to understand.
No, just bench the subpar crappy qb. Its not rocket science. You're right, my bad. Let's can the whole staff right now. Release all the players on scholarship and start over. How many games would you say was enough time? I believe boy butch's 5 years was far too much.I'm old enough to not be hyper sensitive like a lot of people are now days. When did it become so bad to call a wall, a wall, and a piss poor performance, a piss poor performance? I will not sugar coat what has been on the field to please some posters on a forum and wouldnt expect anyone else on here to either. Makes me nauseous to think how soft we have become that some will act like its ok to not give a $hit about UT getting their tail handed to them by a sun belt team IN NEYLAND. GTFO

I'm not your little one. And if patience is all that is required, why didn't three years of Dooley or five of Butch get it done? I bet you were on here when we had either of those two clowns arguing he needed more time. You're right, my bad. Let's can the whole staff right now.
