It's pretty simple if you think bout it, we couldn't run so that jus sets the defense up to pin ears back and go sack Worley. Got to run the ball to keep the defense honest, I dunno why we got away with the screen passing.. I literally said it a thousand times wtf is up with the play calling..

Matthews does not understand the deep drop backs to pass with our Oline. Said we need to add another blocker and try to run the football more. Says he thinks we may need to try Peterman more to get a running game going. Did not understand the double reverse. Believes Peterman runs better but knows he cannot throw as well as Worley.

Franklin took over a 2-10 team at Vandy, and went to a bowl game year 1. and year 2. and year 3.

Freeze played two freshmen on the O line last year.

They've beaten UT Martin, Ohio, Vandy, South Carolina, and Louisiana-Monroe. They may or may not get that final win to get to 6. The rest of their schedule is pretty brutal.

Let's be brutally honest for a minute, at CMU and Cincinnati butch rode on the coat tail of Brian kellys rebuild success. Is butch the right guy for the job? I don't know, but he certainly doesn't have a history of rebuilding programs only sustaining them for a short period of time after the rebuild and that's the truth.

I believe this could be the first yr. in school history TN wins less than 4 games in a season. Vandy could easily beat this team in Nashville.

They didn't easily beat Charleston Southern in Nashville this season. Too many trolls on here. It's annoying.

Where's he going? Ole Miss is his dream job and they will throw the bank at him and more.. Ole Miss is not the Ole Miss in the past, it's not a stepping stone program. The Tuberville saga won't happen again there..

So by that logic we lost to uga by 3, Mizzou lost to uga by 34, UF lost to Mizzou by 35 so by your logic we should be 1-2 in sec play. And we should blow Florida out and Mizzou out oh wait

I wasn't using any transitive properties just merely pointing out that Vandy is a bad team and to say that we can easily lose to them is ridiculous.

As bad as I hate to admit it, Jones did take over a dead duck of a football program at UT and we don't have any choice what so ever but to ride it out with him? No?

laMe kiffScum also failed to recruit enough linemen and so did Donexttonothing and THAT is killing us right now.

buTch has only 1, yes ONE of HIS full recruiting classes on campus and all of them are true freshmen and 23 of those true freshmen are playing and some starting including a G, a T and a TE on our O line.

buTch and his staff ARE recruiting their butts off and even buTch was in Memphis Friday night at a high school game working hard to try to flip a 5* O line Tackle to come to Tennessee.

IMHO buTch is doing a great job rebuilding with the total dumpster fire he was brave enough to take over.

1 of the main reasons alot of the top recruits fear becoming a Vol is because they want stability in the program and to know that their coaches are going to be here during their 4 year tenure.

I believe that buTch gets 3 more solid recruiting classes and we'll have the talent and the depth to play against any team in the country.

buTch and his staff HAVE rebuilt 2 other programs and HAVE been successful and have put guys in the NFL by coaching them up properly.

Even with so many true freshmen playing so much of the time our D has been playing great and is something to be proud of...damn shame we don't have the talent and depth we need on the D yet but it IS coming.

1 point loss to floriDUHHH sucks and 3 point loss to UGa sucks too but we WERE in those games and we DID have a chance to WIN and I see the progress already and those that don't are either dumb, blind or both and really don't know how the recruiting process and rotation has to work in a 4 year rotation to have a really good team CONSISTENTLY and that's what buTch is implementing for us.

NOT to have a good team every 3 years but to have a good team EVERY year.

The recruiting rotation MUST get put in place properly first and then you recruit to replace what you will lose every year.

STOP your crying and whining like babies and appreciate how hard our coaches and players are working to rebuild us back up to a top 10 team every year like we belong!

MAN UP and be supportive and give buTch and our coaches the years they must have to get our recruiting rotation back together and the WINS damn sure will come!

Geeez people, without decent depth on D we just shut down the 3rd ranked team in the nation for most of the 1st half and in case you forgot...D wins championships and buTch is getting our D back together pretty fast with such young players all over the field.

If you missed it...The rebels D is what kept them in the game most of the 1st half until their O got some things figured out and until our turnovers gave them good field position.

Granted it's not happening as fast as we all want but it IS happening and we're NOT out of a bowl game yet either.

Lets get ready to hit alaBubba in the mouth and hopefully we'll roll the turds!

They just might come in OVERconfident and that's just what we want and need.

Till the contract ends, that way it makes the fans and alums not look like nuts for running off another coach...

This. He grew up 30 minutes from Oxford. All of his family lives in the area. Minus a short stint out in CA, he has coached within about a 100 mile radius of his hometown. He makes 3 million and will likely be making a lot more by next year.

The remaining schedule is still favorable. Mizzu looked good blowing out Florida but it was on 2 or 3 defensive TDs and a kick and punt return for TD. Yes it worries me but Mauk was horrible again. Theif offense is bad.
UK is better but they were shown a fraud yesterday.
SC is a bad football team. Am I saying they will win out? No but a bowl game is still in reach there's no sense in giving up just yet.

He's a hometown boy.. Ole Miss couldn't write a better script by hiring him..
