The real reason for optimism is the coaching changes, I was pumped when rock came on board and greatfull that Butch is trying to upgrade us . We got a team full of talent and hopefully we will development like never b4 ! There is a ton to be excited about

I think we can exceed expectations barring injuries in 2017. The tough games are spread out and I just got a gut feeling JG will not only win the QB competition but he will lighting it up by November. My optimism is sky high for team 121 and I am going to pump the hell out of some sunshine from here to September.
Some REALLY dumb guy named Albert Einstein said it...
Recruiting is declining. Coaching and development has and continues to be sub par. Recipe for disaster. Butch's 3* prowess is catching up to him this season.
8 wins, maybe 9, is his ceiling in a regular season. Couldn't win the SEC East in the last 2 years. Will never win an SECE divisional title.
UT admin will stomach mediocrity for 3 more seasons or Butch leaves before then on his own accord.
Butch's stock is tanking fast so he may have nowhere to go.

Wow, the struggle is real. Thanks for showing how smart you are.I am not sure where this saying came from but it drives me nuts due to it being wildly inaccurate.
Definition of insanity
plural insanities
1
dated : a severely disordered state of the mind usually occurring as a specific disorder
2
law : unsoundness of mind or lack of the ability to understand that prevents one from having the mental capacity required by law to enter into a particular relationship, status, or transaction or that releases one from criminal or civil responsibility
After Peyton graduated, most everybody thought we would be OK, but not contending. How did it work out that year?
Do what you want, DD. I am going to relax, support the team where I can, and let them roll without dealing with excess noise. Just like I did in 98.
The changes made on the offensive side of the ball will provide much the same as it did the first for years, which of itself os not a problem expect the players are not as good as a whole. Those two QBs might turn out to be good but they are not going to be were Doobs was yet. We have also see staff changes every year and really nothing different, coupled with the fact that CBJ is simply not a good coach. So ill have to see it before i believe it.Like me reading your posts.
But seriously, we've made several changes and hopefully the change to Shoop last season, will also pan out. The offense worked the majority of the time and could improve with a different calls at different times. We'll see though.

Maybe, maybe not.
No desire on my part to automatically declare failure. Seems a s***** way to spend time on something you supposedly enjoy. But, not uncommon.
He was a physicist, not a philosopher. Math and language are pretty different, and being great at one doesn't mean greatness in the other. BTW negativity like yours has its place, I'm just not sure it's here. Besides, new players, new strength coach, new OC, new DB coach, new starting QB and some of our best players on the DLine coming back healthy isn't really "the same thing."
I know you meant CBJ is the same thing, but then by your logic, every team's record should be EXACTLY the same every year, I guess unless they changed their head coach.
Here's a better quote for sad sacks like you by a wizard of language: "I've had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened"- Mark Twain
