Les Miles

If we hire Les Miles we will finish 3rd at best in the SEC East every year. He will not be able to outgun Elite Florida and Georgia teams. The man will never beat those teams. If he is our next coach we might as well forfeit 3 games every year (Florida, Georgia, and Bama).

He’ll out coach Dan Mullen. And Saban doesn’t have much left in the tank.

Why isn't Hubbs mentioning Miles at all? He just mentions Steele every 5 minutes! Earlier today Les Miles was gaining momentum and I was thrilled!

Because we have been beating Florida and Georgia so much the past decade right? Jesus, some of people think we have been enjoying 10+ wins a year and New Years bowls for a decade. Seeings how we are dead last in the East now, third would be major progress.

But let me guess, Kiffin or Leach would just walk in and win it right? :eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

Haha! That is a funny joke. Mullen has been winning at MS, which is traditionally one of the worst SEC teams. He has had nothing but 2 and 3 stars and will be awesome at Florida with their talent level. Also, Florida always beats us regardless of who is on their sideline. Meanwhile, Les Miles was pretty mediocre and got fired from LSU, one of the best programs of the new millennium. Ed Orgeron is winning there for Christ's sake! If our best option is a washed up coach that nobody wants we are in deep doo doo.

Success at UF and UGA remain to be seen. Kirby has 31 Seniors graduating. If he can replicate the same success next year after that attrition, then it's safe to assume they are back.

You are a turkey. We just fired a coach who's ceiling was 9 wins and finding ways to fail to get to Atlanta. Why in the heck would we fire a coach to make a lateral move? We ought to strive to be the best or there is no point in competing. If we hire Miles I will be ticked off.

Ummm..... Really???? Wow... Georgia has one of the most talented teams in the nation every year! And they are contending for a national title in January. I think it is safe to say they are back. And Florida just hired one of the best coaches out there. If we hire washed-up Les we are in trouble.

.750% winning percentage is mediocre? Two natl championship appearances. One of the top NFL drafts. Coach of the year. Winningest coach in the history of LSU. Mediocre?

Lateral? Les Miles with a VFL Coaching team vs Butch and you are saying lateral? It's all about players + depth and development. Butch got players, couldn't keep depth and didn't develop. That team could handle all 3 of those duties and would have taken last years team to the SEC Champ at a minimum.

Did he get fired? Is he an active coach now? Why not?

Will Fulmer be sure and check Les Miles speedometer to make sure that the Miles haven't been run back?:)

He took over after Saban. The guy had a full stable when he got there. He won 1 national title 2 years after getting there with Saban players. After that, he was just an above average 9-3 or 10-2 coach. He got fired for not meeting expectations. Basically, Fulmer 2.0

**** 10-2 is pretty good looking right now

Strive for the best? Ok. So who ya got? Leach? Whats he done that makes him better? Kiffin? Again, whats he done? Lets hear it.

He is the WINNINGEST coach in the history of their program. Exact opposite of mediocre

If Les’s career was mediocre then what would you consider successful?

For me, it is being in Atlanta more often than not and competing for the playoffs on a regular basis. Winning 9 or 10 games in a weak East with cream puff out of conference opponents is not impressive.

Leach has won in places where it is nearly impossible to win. He also has an explosive high scoring offense. Les took over for Saban a year after LSU won a national championship.

Well he coached in the West. I don’t know what his record is against Fla and Ga but to say Les is mediocre is not accurate. If you wanna say he is old or quirky or whatever then that’s fine. But I’d put his resume up against anybody out there. Who is the guy you want? We may be in agreement after all. I just don’t know who you want.

Les Miles couldn't develop a QB and that cost him the job. That is concerning but you can only be hopeful that he learned from it or took a step back and realized why he ultimately failed at LSU. Outside of that LSU under Miles had tons of talent, played hard and was a very well coached team.
