Les Miles

This is our man. Pay him a fair wage, and give him whatever he needs for the coordinators. He has watched these coaches without being distracted by a job. He knows who's doing it right, let him go get them. The "he can't recruit" is bs. Lots of real ball players would love to play for a coach with his record. I can't believe he actually wants to come to UT. Better do what it takes to get him.

He would bring Chavis back and we could get a good OC. Maybe Tee? Let’s make this happen. It’s the best move that could possibly happen at this point. It would excite the fan base and I think most would take it over Sumlin

So basically your saying we should just settle. Throw in the towel. if they are willing to throw 7 million at Gundy why not someone else of that caliber?? Mles is washed up and Sumlin couldn't cut it at Texas A&M with the recruits he brought in.

Can we call Les now? Is it impossible for our inept administration to talk to more than one possibility at any given time Probably so.

Poor things make too much to work

114–34 at LSU over 12 years

Saban is 125–20 at Bama over 11? right?

There's a very small difference if we're going to judge on performance for a resume....and Saban seems to be the bar

Miles won a national title, was 42-23 vs. ranked teams, 16-16 vs. top 10 teams, and had an overall record of 114-34 at LSU. He'd have Tennessee contending for the SEC East division next season.

I don't understand why he isn't being considered. Because he's old? Like Lombardi, Paul Brown, hell General Neyland won a national championship at 60. SMDH.

Hire Les Miles today, bring in TEE Martin as OC and John Chavis as DC. This would work! Still Need Phil Fulmer as AD, with Currie sent back to Wake Forest. :eek:k:

How about young dumbasses, like yourself, look at the resume', instead of his age ONLY....

Nick Saban is 66 yrs old....

Les would check all the boxes.
1. Big name, free pub
2. Very good recruiter
3. Good coach
4. Crazy enough to eat grass, maybe he can teach these guys to eat it instead of smoke it?

Those worried about age, why not hire Tee to be the OC and groom him to take over HC in 3-4 years?
