Les Miles

Has SEC experience
Has beaten Saban
Has a NC
Proven recruiter
Loved by players
Loved by media

Only guy on the market in our budget price range that checks all of those boxes.

Has rumored to have contacted a booster so presumably has interest.

Makes way more sense than Kiffin. IMO

In a full year this guy has garnered interest from no programs.

No thanks.

UT should not be interested in Miles. Please go back and read why he was fired. No offense and refused to make changes to staff to improve. Also took LSU from greatness with Saban and brought them down over time.

Sounds like he’d be perfect for Haslam then. F it, I’m in.

114–34 at LSU over 12 years

Saban is 125–20 at Bama over 11? right?

There's a very small difference if we're going to judge on performance for a resume....and Saban seems to be the bar

LES MILES 114-34 at LSU NOT TOO SHABY IN THE WEST

Ive seen a few people on here say get les and he will bring ether Chavis or Steele. I would love that but idk if Chavis and Miles are on good terms after what went down at LSU also the same thing with Steele, he was there for 1 year and then left. With the Chavis situation it may just be the university that he has a problem with and nothing with Miles at all only time will tell. I think we need to get Miles today, he will get us at least back in the right direction. He a good man and his playes love him they would run threw a wall for him, thats what we need that UT has lacked in a head coach for a long time.

I could be wrong, but Chavis left LSU to be the first $1M a year DC (might want to double check me there) and Steele left due to rumblings of Les being ran off.

Edit. I was wrong. He was already making over a mil at LSU.

Les never lost to Troy, that was the Cajun Cookie Monster, Coach O.

Who followed that up by going 6-1 the rest of the way including a win over Auburn.

I still have no idea how that happened.

Simple, they played harder, coached better and played smarter football.... that and all the suspensions were over and players got healthy.

No way they would have been 9-3 with Les, my guess bowl eligible might have not happened this year. Les was a good coach, but glad he was let go... in hindsight a year too late.

Les Miles has put a lot of players in the NFL.

This is verifiable. He's one of the top college coaches for his players getting drafted.

This should be something our players should be happy to know and top recruits on the fence will be wise to consider this opportunity for their own future!

LSU in general can never, ever find an elite QB. That seems to be their biggest problem. LSU is where high rated QB's go to die.

Given the huge disaster that was this coaching search Les is the best candidate left even if he is a A-/B+ overall considering his age and questions on offense.

From a record and championship standpoint he will be the best coach TN football has EVER hired in the programs history. With the right OC he could be very successful.

If we hire Les Miles we will finish 3rd at best in the SEC East every year. He will not be able to outgun Elite Florida and Georgia teams. The man will never beat those teams. If he is our next coach we might as well forfeit 3 games every year (Florida, Georgia, and Bama).
