Les Miles

if this guy actually WANTS to be here... how good does that feel - he also has a ring... bring him in for a few years

I'd take Miles as long as they sign Tee as the head coach in waiting.

While it’s a great thought, this doesn’t really work very often. As soon as the head coach makes a bad call there starts the get calls about letting him go and promoting the in waiting.

Besides, tee wants to make head coach money and I don’t blame him

Honest assessment would reveal we have been turned down by the "most sought after" head college football coaches.. ie..Gruden, Chip, Dan Mullen, Jeff Brohm. NC State coach.....etc. Really whom is next?????
First, I would conclude there is a serious flaw-perhaps arrogance- within the upper echelon of the administration and that needs to be addressed immediately. Second I would say lets take a swing at some up and coming coordinates whom have earned a shot.. We may get lucky. And at this point some luck is what we need.. With that said...HIRE TEE MARTIN. Just my humble opinion. What do we got to lose at this point!!

As of right now, I would take him in a heartbeat.
No buyout, has won a natty. Man our administration has zero common sense.

Les Miles is too old and will cost too much. I don’t trust him with a rebuild at all, and we won’t be able to buy him out for a while.

He is Old, but I wouldn’t necessarily call our situation a rebuild. Not sure of his cost, but we wouldn’t have to worry about him leaving for greener pastures. He’s capable of winning and maybe he can be that stabilizing coach that we need. He’ll retire in 5-6 years and maybe, just MAYBE, that clown Currie will be gone, Haslam in jail, and Blackburn at the helm. One can wish right?

Vol nation has like 16,000 athletic directors on line right now and were all better than what UTK has.👍👍👍

we dont want someone who got fired (sumlin), but now we want les miles. i wonder what the difference between those is? and those titles are irrelevant because he was fired afterwards from that school.....for losing to troy

Les never lost to Troy, that was the Cajun Cookie Monster, Coach O.

Who followed that up by going 6-1 the rest of the way including a win over Auburn.

I still have no idea how that happened.

Mad Hattees record is great. Hes not old. Now Joe Pa was getting there

Now Bill Snyder is really getting there, but he's got about 15 years on Miles. Maybe Snyder refused to die or retire as long as Currie was at KS St - had him all figured out for the fool that he is.

We get Sumlin or Miles were doing ok. Both have been through the SEC wars although both kind of relaxed on the job their last two or three seasons and it got them fired. You have to keep going do it everyday. Either one would probably be great for three or four years.

Miles and Leach are the only two that said they would take the job. So it makes sense that these are the only two Currie has not interviewed.
