Les Miles

He is good for 8-10 wins a year. I dont know wha we have against him.... other than haslems ego.. which needs to be given a rest.

Wasn't DD just a penalty away from taking one from les and the bayou bengals in death valley?

Yeah. He couldn't figure out how many players play on defense too.

Yes. I get he’s older and not as good as he once was but let him run it for a few years and straighten things out at least plus who else can we get at this point? You know he could assemble a good staff too

At least with Miles, there would be a responsible adult in the room. Unfortunately that's a lot more than we can say for things right now.

Why? He got run out of BR because he could never muster any offense and refused to change. Why is that a good fit here?

Because everyone else on the list that is realistic has been run out of a program for failing to produce and he is the best of them. Players love him. He has shown that he can consistently win 10 plus games in the SEC and he won a BCS championship. Show me a better resume than that on a possible candidate.

A washed up coach who can’t seem to score points... at all... and a guy who has never, ever been a head coach. Perfect

He's heads and shoulders over anybody we've had lately as a coach or anybody that Currie seems to be targeting.

Besides Les isn't employed as a HC so he's incapable of playing Currie for a raise in his current position - maybe - Currie could probably still be played somehow, owe Les, and still not have a HC.

Former LSU and Oklahoma State coach Les Miles is very interested in the Tennessee coaching vacancy, according to a source close to Miles who has discussed the Vols job with him in recent days. At this point, Miles has had no contact with Tennessee officials but would welcome the chance to discuss the position. LSU fired Miles in September 2016. Miles went 114-34 (62-28 in SEC play) at LSU.

Need someone with less miles.

That's hysterical. Well played.

As an LSU alum/fan looking in from the outside, I think Les would be a great fit for 4-5 years to hopefully turn the program around. He's great with the media, great with the players, certainly appears to run a clean program that stays out of real trouble, and consistently has winning seasons.

He's old and he's pretty set in his offensive ways, but he was also able to pretty consistently beat everyone but Alabama... but no one has consistently beaten Alabama since Saban has been there.

If he'd change his play calling I'd gladly take him. Near the end of his LSU career he was getting pretty bad.

But than again.. as a short term solution.. I'd support him.
