Legend Bey

Absolutely, if he really doesn't want to be a Vol and Heupel is allowing him to stay, he has to be the most ignorant coach ever to allow this. Not saying this is the case, but if it is it's incredible
If he doesn’t want to stay he will make it known and we’d release him from his commitment. Tennessee isn’t going to hold him hostage

Two questions:
Is "much adieu" anything like "pocket presents" or "pre-madonna"?

Would you rather we had ended with a class in the 20s?

I'm disappointed with how the season ended too, but getting a highly rated class in is an unmitigated good thing.
Not anymore. Look what Kiffin did with his recruit rankings. Now days you have to mix up recruiting with the portal. Bring in some 3rd to 5th year players let freshman redshirt.

Who cares either way... We signed Keys, Wyatt and King and hopefully have an Army of Freshman and Sophomores returning

This is what I’m saying. I hope everything works out with Bey, but he’s not Manning, Tebow, Cam Newton, etc. One of those guys that you can build your entire program around. We have better kids signed now and there will be better kids in the portal if we make the right moves.

I love beys talent and potential but (and im sure most feel this way) if he wants to be at ohio state, i would much rather him be there. I want the players that want to be here and the last thing im worried about is WR. But the thing that really bothers me is (the granted probably smaller group of ohio state fans) that keep trying to make it sound like heupal or tennessee had ill will with this guy. Thats gross behavior.

Last thing we need is another Boo Carter situation which hurts the team long term.

If he wants to go to Ohio State, good for him. If this was 10 years ago, I'd say this is a significant loss but not anymore with how prevalent the portal has become. Tennessee has a ton of depth coming back in the receiving core so idk you really need to recruit that core any harder.

I think we should look for some safeties, DB's maybe a veteran DL and a 1 year rental QB

Let him go. This situation is pretty bad. For all the why didn’t he just wait comments, you are expected to be an early enrollee now. Most programs tell you straight away that if you do not ee them you will not play year one. You miss b bowl/playoff practice and spring practice and are going to redshirt. If they want you to come in and compete for a spot immediately, then not being an EE is not really an option.
With him not being 18 until late December, he cannot legally sign for himself until after that deadline has passed. He was essentially held hostage by timelines. I’d love for him to want to be here, but it sounds like a kid who was powerless getting out in a situation by a parent. Maybe not but it does smell that way at least somewhat
