Legend Bey

read somewhere he is trying to get out of it when he turns 18 and was unhappy with the decision. Also, the potential he could hit the transfer portal as well if things don’t pan out with a release.

I’m not saying any of this is true or I know what I’m talking about, it was just on atozsports.
We all know one has to be careful what they read is the truth. But sometimes where there's smoke, there's fire. If there is any truth to this, I'm sure CJH has already contacted LB and family and had a heart to heart. This ain't Heup's first rodeo anymore. I would say his leash has gotten somewhat short with problem Childs. For all we know that was a sore a-- troll from an O-HO st. fan.

He's already signed with us. If he wanted to, he could have waited for his birthday and signed with the Scarlet Scarecrows then.
I think, though others can school me on this, that an early enrollee HAS to sign in the early signing period in December to enroll early. That kind of makes sense.

If his 18th birthday falls outside the early signing/early enrollment window, this might be what prompted the early signing.

We signed a bunch of great players besides Bey. Are you saying most of them won't pan out?
As you know, a lot of the same people who constantly say we have to recruit at the same level as UGA, OSU and Bama will turn around and say HS recruiting doesn't matter once we are at that level.

Heupel needs to issue a statement that he has spoken to Bey and he indicated that he is all Vol or issue a statement that he is releasing Bey from his comittmment.
I understand where you are coming from but why would Heupel need to issue a statement either way? We will find out soon enough whether he leaves for Ohio State or he is going through spring practice.

This whole thing is proof that yesterday was much adieu about nothing. It gave Vol fans some false hope after a dismal end to the season on Saturday.
Two questions:
Is "much adieu" anything like "pocket presents" or "pre-madonna"?

Would you rather we had ended with a class in the 20s?

I'm disappointed with how the season ended too, but getting a highly rated class in is an unmitigated good thing.

I think I'll find a use for beaucoup adieu, thanks.

It is the right thing to do for the kid and the university. I would rather release him than make him transfer.

If he's posting on socials he doesn't want to be here.
Wish him the best, tear up his letter and move on.
I don’t wish him the best. If he truly didn’t want to be here then he shouldn’t have gotten Heupel, the staff, other players and fans excited about him flipping back.

That's fine as a fan but as a University, it's the best thing to do from a PR point .
I definitely wouldn't be spending time trying to get him back into the fold. If his family pressured him and his heart wasn't in it then they're wrong for that

Well, from that perspective, I think I can agree. If he wants out, release him from his LOI and move on. I'm not sure it needs to necessarily be an announcement, though. Heupel has more important concerns to deal with IMO.

If he doesn't want to be here, by all means let him lose. We saw what happened with Boo Carter

I rather use his spot on a portal guy if he wants out
Absolutely, if he really doesn't want to be a Vol and Heupel is allowing him to stay, he has to be the most ignorant coach ever to allow this. Not saying this is the case, but if it is it's incredible
