Leavitt to LSU

We should get the kid from Mizzou, but if he starts we are in major trouble. I don’t have a problem adding him as the foreseen backup.

I agree. But on the other hand LSU is going to dump money like crazy to make sure that the coach they went all in for succeeds. This had little to do with coaching philosophy and a lot to do with $$$$$. As does everything in the current college landscape.
Ask A&M how that worked out with Jimbo. Spending a ton of money is not the only way to win in cfb. Indiana is doing what they’re doing largely because they’re a veteran team that’s well coached. And it’s not like UT isn’t spending a ton of money. If Lane comes out and wins 5-6 games next season they’ll be calling for his head too. They’ve set up the expectation that huge money = success no matter what. Thats not always the case.

195# 6’6’”. Bryce Young is 205# 5’10” for a comparison. Josh Dobbs was 210# 6’3” as a senior.
When Dobbs was first introduced to TN fans, which I believe was in a game against BAMA, I was shocked at what a beanpole he was at the time. After a offseason where he obviously had hit the weight room pretty hard I barely recognized him when he took the field. Gmac's 2025 stats on the UT website listed him at 6' 6" 195 lbs., and I fully except to see the same transformation for Gmac this upcoming season. If I don't, either he isn't taking his training serious enough, or our S&C program is still in shambles.

You all do realize that there is a chance that he will not recover enough to play next year. Kiffin decided to roll the dice - it may or may not pan out.
But he grabbed the kid from Elon as insurance. Just like last year. Gotta give him credit. He has a plan and is quite cut throat. These are his waters we're swimming in.

When Kiffin was hired he was assured he would get massive NIL money to get the player(s) he wanted. I'm sure he way overpaid for Leavitt since he's coming back from an injury. VOLS have done better than expected in Transfer Portal thanks to Coach Knowles!!!! And I'm sure they didn't overspend either. GBO!!!

Heupel knows that by firing his DC and having him fall on th sword that it bought Heupel another year to have terrible record and get a free pass. Heupel isn't worried about what happens next year. prepare for 5 or 6 losses. Tennessee is "rebuilding" yet again. like we always seem to be
Horse poop. “Another year to have a terrible record” - there is no such thing. How many years of terrible records has Heupel had?

Lmao CJH really screwed this up. I’d say this will be his demise. 160lb qb starting or getting some no name transfer
Comments like this are funny because when it first came out that he was spending extra time here, everyone was raising hell about spending money on a guy with health issues, character issues and a low completion percentage

Haven't you heard? Everything is judged by the "Saban stick" now.

A good year is undefeated. 1 loss is barely acceptable. 2 losses is a failure. 3 losses is grounds for dismissal of all support staff. 4 losses means you suck.

watching reactions on this board is comedy gold. Heupel brought in a guy last year after spring that wasnt on anyone's radar and turned him into a top 8 all-time Vol QB.
Only reason he brought him in was he had no choice. Nothing he planned

And how do you know that "he screwed up" that with absolute, 100% certainty? Have you been in contact with Heupel everyday since the transfer portal opened? Give me a break. Some of you pick the easiest talking points to fit your own narratives.

Funny, all you needed to do was find ONE QB that most of know nothing about and all of Volnation would welcome him as the next Joey Aguilar. A player that cost a fraction of a Leavitt or Sorsby.
I hope that can still happen and it’s someone who has yet to visit our campus.
