I keep seeing how Leach's lack of conference titles being mentioned, or his lack of 10 wins seasons. Let's take a look at the schools he has coached at.
At Texas Tech:
Leach's record - 84-43 (10 seasons)
Tech in 8 seasons since - 51-49
Tech in 10 seasons prior to Leach - 62-53
At Wash St:
Leach's record - 38-37 (6 seasons)
Wash St in 6 seasons prior to Leach - 20-53
He has greatly elevated two seperate school who are traditionally average to below average in their conference and competed for conference championships. And consistently gotten good QB play along the way. To everyone saying his offense doesn't work against the best teams, it often hasn't for him in the past because of the above. The schools he was coaching at were not good enough to get the players he needed. Similar offenses have worked against the top teams (i.e. Alabama) in recent years.
