I keep seeing how Leach's lack of conference titles being mentioned, or his lack of 10 wins seasons. Let's take a look at the schools he has coached at.

At Texas Tech:
Leach's record - 84-43 (10 seasons)
Tech in 8 seasons since - 51-49
Tech in 10 seasons prior to Leach - 62-53

At Wash St:
Leach's record - 38-37 (6 seasons)
Wash St in 6 seasons prior to Leach - 20-53

He has greatly elevated two seperate school who are traditionally average to below average in their conference and competed for conference championships. And consistently gotten good QB play along the way. To everyone saying his offense doesn't work against the best teams, it often hasn't for him in the past because of the above. The schools he was coaching at were not good enough to get the players he needed. Similar offenses have worked against the top teams (i.e. Alabama) in recent years.

Leach can win with the talent we have on this roster. He’s used to getting less talent and got more out of them. He is a very real developmental coach. And solid on game day too. Won’t panic under pressure.

Out of those names only some were purportedly offered....Schiano, Cutcliffe, Gundy, Doeren, Sumlin, Leach and you forgot Brohm.

Im gullible but j find it hard to believe that we can't pull a .500 coach from NCSU with a multimillion dollar offer on the table. My point is I think at some of these offers aren't what they seem. Just no way in hell some of these guys turn down Tennessee. Maybe I am delusional....it's been a long week (decade).

We couldnt get Doeren because Vol fans were begging him on Twitter to stay at NCST

Scratch 1-3 off your list. It was Schiano #1 then a complete scramble after that.

Though I haven't research extensively, WAZU recruiting this year is ranked 29, going back to 2014 they have been 50+ every year. Imagine what he could do with actually talent.

We have all seen the choices Currie and this administration have made in the process. Considering the level of blatant stupidity ...I would guess Curries' negotiation skills are equivalent to a 5 year old on your door step asking for candy on Halloween : Trick or Treat

Florida started fireronzook.com when he was hired. Didn't keep them from hiring them. I am happy Doeren was not hired. He was not the man. What I am saying is this all seems to damn crazy to actually be true and I fully understand that it still could be and I am just seeing the roses but in my mind right now, there is no way Doeren or any of the other names we have heard in the past 36 hours (save Gundy) turn this job down.

Took Washington state 4 years to become a true contender. Hope he can make something happen earlier than that with the talent on the roster.

Resumè wise he is the best hire Tennessee could make since fulmer

I agree. Media has been taking shots in the dark. No one is talking I think a lot of the media stuff is leaks to see how the fan base will react.

This is a guy who took a 2 star QB recruit (Luke Falk) and turned him into statistically the best QB in WSU history... Yes, its air raid, but the guy has still thrown for over 14,000 yards and 119 TDs

This guy can develop talent

Are you complaining or worried Jaws?

I LOVE Leach, hilarious dude and pretty darn good football coach. I wouldn’t be overly worried about his teams turning into some sort of dominant juggernaut, but he would be a very hard guy for me to dislike.
