You can tell a lot about what a person says based upon how the person says it. My BVS is showing or otherwise I wouldn’t have listened to his interview posted on here so closely. The last 13 years has me question whether the sun will rise in the east. I agree there is some wiggle room in his statement but he sure sounded sincere to me - as he always does. No hesitations. Emphasis on “love” for Knoxville. I didn’t know he requested the interview until I read it here. That said, I believe he was recruiting when he mentioned UT being top ten in all time wins and in NFL drafted players. He knew it would be national sports news. People from SD must be like people from Tennessee, understated and crafty like a fox. The fat lady hasn’t sung but I do think the sheet music for Rocky Top is on the music stand.

I'm still not sure why people thought CJH was leaving after one year.
To my knowledge he never said OK was his dream job.
Kiffin at least had made it pretty much know that Cali was his dream job...

I suspect there are only a smallish number of actual Vols fans who are truly concerned Josh could leave for Oklahoma. I think the majority, perhaps sizable majority, of us have been confident (for a variety of reasons) that he's not going anywhere.

But those relatively few who do have concerns are amplified by the folks joking around, as well as by the trolls who are trying to build an anti-Vols mountain out of the Oklahoma molehill. So it seems a bigger deal than it is.

For myself, I'm just pointing out actual facts, where needed, to offset the misdirection and sometimes outright lies being peddled by the trolls and jokers.

On Tender it says he’s single…….but isn’t he married?

I want to begin with stating that I was never a "CJH is leaving for OU!" guy. After reading and listening to the Erik Ainge interview, I'm even more committed to believing he isn't. I was 98% sure, now I'm 99.99% sure. I feel like we, as Vol fans, aren't used to anything good happening to us and only getting sh*t on by the universe. So to have a good thing going for us, we're just convinced it's going to fall apart and yet again be sent to the bottom of the barrel. Relax everyone! We have our guy and he's not leaving anytime soon. Enjoy the calamity that's unfolding at other programs for once, and hope for a fantastic finish this season with a good bowl win!

In other words its safe to assume adding the words "Yes, because" in front of his entire statement, but it does suck that he didn't actually say yes, just gave reasons why he's staying.

The answer was followed by, "so you are saying you are staying in Knoxville for at least the time being?"

"We absolutely love Tennessee and believe what we are building here and can't be happier and more excited about what we are going to do next year and in the coming years," Heupel stated.
