Why did you bring that crap in here?

Like I said in the op, no ot in here and it was at a football game. This is the world we live in...sad!

Put a mask on if it’s not a health issue. It’s not that dang difficult. Also, when we see someone on TV not obeying law enforcement, the typical response I think of is just follow instructions and cooperate with law enforcement. This young lady could have walked to her car, got her mask and went on about her day. We can’t have it both ways, it’s just a damn mask. How hard is it to wear it if you're able to.
I'm 100% for people wearing a mask but I'm 100% against the government mandating it or God forbid arresting people for not.

Yep the Jews just needed to follow the instructions of law enforcement circa Germany 1940.

Knox with 60 new cases today.

That is 3 straight days with news cases at or below 60. Probably been 2 months since numbers that low. People finally learning how to wear the mask correctly, I bet.

@allvol123 I still see same amount of people not wearing them in stores. Been to a couple high school sporting events and there are definitely a lot less people wearing masks.

Yea I agree. The numbers are down and the masks are irrelevant to the equation.
Living in Nashville you will see people (fools) still wearing them in their cars, vacuuming out their cars at a car wash, walking with their partner around downtown, and running in my neighborhood alone with them on. I go anywhere outside of Nash it seems optional and its around 50/50.

I saw a college student jogging on campus wearing one. The amount of stupid in that is incalculable.

Trump claims White House can overrule FDA's attempt to toughen guidelines for coronavirus vaccine

President Donald Trump claimed Wednesday that the White House could override the US Food and Drug Administration if the agency released tougher standards for the authorization of a Covid-19 vaccine, casting such a move as "political."

His comments come as the FDA considers new Covid-19 vaccine guidelines that would likely push an authorization beyond Election Day, according to three sources familiar with the situation. That timeline would dash Trump's hopes of a pre-election authorization, having repeatedly said the vaccine could be ready by November 3.

"We're looking at that and that has to be approved by the White House. We may or may not approve it," the President said of the new FDA guidelines at a White House news conference. "That sounds like a political move."

The FDA "respectfully" declined to comment on Trump's claims. But generally speaking, agency guidelines do go through the White House Office of Management and Budget review process, an FDA official told CNN Wednesday.

Anyone here support this insanity? Trump is pretty much writing the book on how *not* to get people to trust a vaccine and be willing to take it.

A couple things....
First of all, why is the FDA publicly stating they’re issuing new guidelines when those guidelines haven’t actually been sent to WH OMB for approval. Seems CNN is actually admitting with that paragraph in bold that the WH can, indeed, overrule those guidelines.

Also from the article....
“Two former FDA commissioners previously told CNN that while they think it's very unlikely that Trump could pressure scientists into authorizing or approving a Covid-19 vaccine, it's possible. The Department of Health and Human Services has in the past overruled the FDA's recommendations on medications.”

Again, the qualifications of fear. It’s in nearly every story about Trump....what he may/might/could/possibly/maybe do.

So then who is actually making people fearful of trusting a vaccine???
