The chance of catching the disease that way is low unless the person just directly coughed/sneezed on the object..... even if it is transferable that way.... if your mom washes her hands before Pickering her nose.... touching her mouth or rubbing her eyes..... she should be fine.

Did shopping for my dad, brought a spray bottle with IPA and sprayed everything down including myself before delivering.. Things like this could be done by everyone if people could reliably get the necessary items to do so. I hope this will be the case soon.

There will be a ton of money thrown at advances in protective gear when this is over and done. Way too many doctors and cops getting sick.

Again what does testing or not testing have to do with who's hospitalized?
Not everyone with COVID has to be hospitalized. We are only testing the ones that will be admitted. You are using the numbers of those that test positive as the actual count of COVID patients in hamilton county which is wrong. Not sure how else to explain that.

That’s not true.... we test people whose symptoms are serious enough to warrant testing..... that does not necessarily include hospitalization.

I have no doubt, but It's just nuts that the basics are so hard to obtain, as it is. I was fortunate enough to have a few boxes of surgical gloves and a decent stash of alcohol, but I guess things may be getting better.

Interesting read, but the public transportation differences and density between the two areas are really great, so it makes a comparison hard.

He shouldnt have caved in to those ahole governors and fired Fanuci for spreading more panic
I don’t think you actually read/or heard what the doctor was saying about projecting the potential deaths. He in fact said some modeling says 100-200 thousand deaths. But those are the most extreme models and almost always those models are always off.

They're going to have to find ways to quickly sanitize (on location) and reuse the ppe.

Yeah I would guess that model will be off 90,000 +

I assure you it is true. Testing will increase but people dont need to go to their PCP or emergency room unless they really have to. No one needs to go just to get tested. It is common knowledge that Hamilton county has a lot more than 37 cases. Scary that people dont understand that.

I work in healthcare..... you are not supposed to go to the emergency room with covid symptoms at all due to chance of spread.... yes there are a lot more with covid 19.... there always has been.... if you have mild symptoms then you are suppose to aelf
Quarantine for two weeks or more if symptoms linger.

JFC man, stop looking at who's tested, look at who's hospitalized. If 100,000 people test positive or 100 people test positive, the number of people in the hospital for this doesn't change. The latest report says 15 are in the hospital. Assuming they all spend 10 days there, you would need 13.4% daily growth in hospitalizations from here until May 1 to "overrun" the hospitals here.

Hamilton County has 37 cases and about a third of those are in the hospital. It's been going up 2-4 per day. According to the TFP Chattanooga has 650 open beds at any given time, 250 of which are ICU. When do you predict the "overrun"?
I crunched those numbers on peak dates and bed shortages and for them to accurate the US would need to have an infection rate of 0.5% of it's population. No country in the world is over 0.2% TN has 133 coronavirus hospital admissions across the entire state at about a 14% active case/hospitization rate

Somebody must think this is real, otherwise they wouldn't have cancelled March Madness, postponed the Masters golf, MLB baseball, NHL hockey, Indy 500, all the sports stuff, and cost the leagues and teams millions of dollars.
Most of those people are just too scared to be sued. The left knows if they can collapse the economy they win in November and for some reason Trump is being a dumbass and playing along
