Latest Bracketology...UT with a favorable 6 seed

Creighton took care of SIU 6 days ago and beat Xavier early this season - both are better than Tennessee.

SIU beat Butler weeks ago, and Butler thrashed us this season.

Creighton as a 12 seed beat FLORIDA in 2002. SIU made the Sweet 16 in 2002. There are exactly ZERO no names in the tournament - except sometimes those stinky, sneaky 16 seeds.

I think you've hit the nail on the head VolinAZ! We can analyze numbers, matchups, schedules and RPI's til we are blue in the face. But I think we keep forgetting, they don't call this March Madness for nothing!! This is a great time of the year and the only way to settle things is on the court...not on paper! I can't wait til Thursday!!

I'd hardly call 50something to 40something a thrashing. UT led by 10+ for a good portion of the game before going stone cold from the field. What UNC did to the Vols in the next game or what Florida did to UT in Gainesville could be considered a thrashing.

I think that bracket isn't accurate. Air Force with a 29 RPI is not going to be out. Texas Tech with a 42 RPI should be one of the last 4 in.

if Air Force is in, i have lose all faith in the selection committee. Air Force should be NIT all the way. Texas Tech would run them out of the gym

I think that much of Butler's early season success can be attributed to their age. They have 4 Juniors and 4 Seniors on their team. At the start of the season, when teams like UT were working freshmen and new starters into the rotation, Butler was already in sync.

I think that they'll be making an early exit from the dance.

SIU and Creighton on the other hand could make some noise. I'd much rather see a lower level major conference team than a top 3 MVC squad.

Butler started out vas world beaters in the NIT but lost to a very bad Indiana State team and has been very beatable the past month. AJ Graves has struggled lately but they are still a pretty dangerous team. Creighton and Southern Illinois is two teams NO ONE wants to play, trust me. With this latest bracketology it would be interesting with a first round Duke-Kentucky matchup. We have a very scary matchup with a pretty good OD team.

No Offense to Creighton, but when comparing them to the Florida's and the Kentucky's of the world...yes they are. Although they are probably one of those dangerous teams you don't want to play.

Usually Creighton ends up upsetting a couple teams in the tourney every once in a while. They beat Florida in the tourney a few years ago if my memory serves me correctly.
