I was incorrect, Kentucky is 7-5, not 8-4. Tennessee beat Ky. and should get the better bowl with the same records. I was just sick at the thought of going to the Music City Bowl, I have bad Dooley/NC/Sorry Ref memories of that place.

I think the bowls worked out just fine for the SEC. the matchups in the MCB, belk, and gator are more even (sec should win all 3) and from a geographic standpoint seems like travel will be easier for all the fanbases.
