A few positive quotes from Miami Message Boards in regard to Scott...

Great...Scott was the best coach on Folden's staff but thats not saying much. Glad he landed on his feet elsewhere.

Damn, he was the best coach on Goldens whole staff.

I was a fan of Coach Scott.
Did a good job after Golden left, and the TE's played/were coached at a high level under his tutelage

Scott was a great coach, with that said Next man up

So I guess we are just saying screw developing an actual threat of a passing offense by hiring a QB coach then.

Tennessee: Source tells FootballScoop that Miami interim head coach / tight ends Larry Scott will join Butch Jones’ staff as tight ends coach. Scott joined the Miami staff in 2013 as tight ends coach, and prior to that he coached the tight ends, offensive line and running backs at South Florida from 2007-2012.

Must be faster than 247 sports e- mail! Well any who Richt wanted to retain Scott but he choose to work for CBJ . Scott served as interim HC and run game coordinator . He is purported to be a great recruiter.

Awesome hire! Will help us greatly in recruiting Miami/S. Florida area. Seems like he was a top recruiter at USF and did well on the recruiting trail at Miami, too.

I'm fine with DeBord being the OL coach/ OC and then having a QB coach. Sounds fine to me and better for our team overall. If this does happen then Mahoney is gone.

looking at the bio, i don't see any obvious ties to CBJ. so i'm liking the fact he's going outside his "comfort zone" to find staff members.

filled a need, got a good coach and what looks like a pretty good recruiter as well.

welcome aboard Coach Scott! GBO!

I wonder why he decided to leave Miami, is he getting a big bump in pay or something?

Silly season isn't over yet. There are still a million different scenarios that could play out. We could fire Mahoney and promote Sheridan to QB coach while Debord takes care of o line. We could get rid of Azzani and let Butch or Scott take care of receivers making room for Sheridan or any other qb coach.

I don't want to flood the thread with more videos, however those of you interested there are several videos of him on YouTube CanesAllAccess. However I just searched Larry Scott Miami and found several good videos.
