I didn’t like Kiffin when he was here. Oddly enough I would take him back over Schiano or the next HS coach Currie may manage to take the job

I'm good with it, but that is going to be risky PR-wise.[/QUOTE]

obviously, UT administration is not worried about risky PR.

Volnation you are all a bunch of FREAKING TARDS!!!

YOU HAVE THE MEMORY OF 5 YEAR OLDS!!!

We will become a complete laughing stock no matter the win-loss record.

He would use us as a stepping stone and be gone in under 4 years, leaving in a cloud of dust and violations that restrict the program!

Damn, you worry too much!!!

If you read my previous posts, I was very against Lane... Yes.. he turned on UT... But I guess if he's willing to take another shot at it and make the wrongs right, then yes let's welcome him with open arms. Someone posted in another thread that he's damaged goods, but so is Tennessee. I'm all for him at this point.

Yes, we were driving on them making first downs. Crompton was moving the ball well, and Kiffin started letting the clock run down instead of gaining more yardage getting closer to their goal. He settled for a long field goal, and our kicker hit more of a line drive. It was blocked by Mount Cody, one of their d linemen. Biggest mistake Kiffin made that year.

I don’t know if many people knew ( I wasn’t on the forums till a month or so ago) but Daniel Lincoln had a quad injury. It was either use him or our punter Chad Cunningham who could kick it farther but was not accurate. For what it’s worth.

Why do people want Lane so bad? Screwed us over and proven failure as HC.

I think many of us have come to realize how bad Sunday.........or rather how bad the media made Tennessee and it's fans look on Sunday. Until things cool down......I doubt any decent coach is coming.

Heck the national media is screaming loudly that we are a bunch of red neck fools.......who crippled an innocent man's career.

While it was them who actually did that. This would not be a thing if the media didn't cover it like they did, and with hundreds of thousands of Vol fans......only a few called the man a pedophile enabler.......and only some on Twitter would even know if it were not for the pic's and video they are showing all over the place......and most of the signs only had stuff NO, or we don't want him and stuff like that......but that is not what they are showing.

Lane is the perfect guy for this situation. He loves being talked about and loves a challenge.
The best coach TN could get now.
I think he has matured and can win although til Sunday I didn't want him

since they already listened to us via social media over the schiano hiring, maybe they will listen to us on who to hire now. perhaps we should try to get a #bringbacklane hastag going tomorrow morning since they are rumored to want to hear our response to such a potential hire anyways?

Why wouldn’t you want him? Other than him leaving us?

Because he didn’t do so hot at USC, but granted he had terrible depth due to NCAA violations. So who knows. I wouldn’t be against it but I just don’t see the mass appeal. It would be a big story but can he win on the field? I’m not sure.

He's taken a team that's went 3-9 the last 3 years and is now 9-3 (8-0 in conference)

He kicked UGA’s ass up and down the field with Jonathan Crompton and was a blocked field goal away from beating an undefeated Alabama team in Tuscaloosa. In year 1. I’m just imagining Guarantano under him. Could be glorious.

He won a conference title at USC they couldn't claim due to sanctions. They had top 10 classes even with the sanctions but losing 17 scholarships kills your depth. He was a killer OC at bama and just turned a perennial doormat FAU into s championship caliber football team in 1yr.

This is starting to remind me of a movie. One of those where someone's life has hit rock bottom, and then they run into their ex. He was an immature idiot who treated them badly, and her initial reaction is to scoff. But on second glance, he's had some learning experiences. Now he's got his own lawn care business, small but thriving. Just maybe he's grown up?
