According to sources close to BamaOnLine.com, University of Alabama coach Nick Saban is expected to make a quick hire for the opening on his defensive staff, and barring a last-minute change will hire Lance Thompson for a third time, and second stint with the Crimson Tide.

If so, he will replace Sal Sunseri, who was recently lured by a big contract to be the defensive coordinator at Tennessee.
