If it is true and he does leave I can't wait to watch the negavols tee off on Dooley and try to convince the board that losing CLT is a sign that Dooley is in over his head.

For what it's worth , Thompson and Saban didn't end things on good terms. I don't think he is welcome and doubt he would want to go back. I don't think he would leave for the same job at this point anyway.

If true, then Alabama is trying to become just like Tennessee. They should stop calling themselves Alabama and instead call themselves Tennessee South.

From all that's being said here its Nix's job...Sal was loved here, treat him Well Vols. From all that's being said here Sal wanted DC job.And Saban had recommended Sal for the job to Dooley.

Btw how is Crump doing ,is he being relagated to special teams?

So far. From now on we get to keep the Hightowers and you get to keep the Crumps. LOL.

He did get some plays in at Will toward the end of the season. Don't know how long that will last with what we have coming in though.

Thompson left Tuscaloosa on a sour note, so this one somewhat surprises me.

I'd also note that Pete's sources aren't nearly as good as they used to be when he ran FootballScoop with his brother. He relies far too much on the media now instead of actual coaches giving him information.

I seen to remember the famous recruiting celebration where Kiffin said that Saban should personally thank LT for Bama's recruiting class that season. If I remember correctly LT then said "he wont be getting anymore of my recruits". I could be wrong about all that l, because it has been a while, but if that did happen it would be hard to imagine him going back.
