Ladies and Gentlemen WAKE UP!

No way DD comes here. He would be hated from day 1. Not even Butch or Dooley were hated from day 1.

Dooley from day 2 or 3 but not 1

Well, at this point, I am amazed any coach wants to come here at all. Sunday night turned off a huge chunk of the coaches who might be interested. Coaching is much like a fraternity, and it is doesn't go well even if you insult a fraternity brother they don't like.

So even though you all kept out a coach you didn't like, we can't afford to hate one of the few remaining guys willing to be here. You hotheads really need to concentrate on the big picture. Stop acting like soldiers proudly died in wars were comforted in their final moments that morons like you have the right to gripe a football program to death.

Nonsense. Every fanbase is as passionate at Tennessee. The ****show that is the AD is what's keeping people away

So then your solution is what? Bring in Doeren for 3-5 years then what? Fond the next subpar coach for Tennessee? Lets put it this way: If you were paying good money for a great steak at a steakhouse and they rolled out a double cheeseburger from McD's you would roll with it and say cant wait til I get that next double cheeseburger while the rest of the customers in the very nice establishment are bemoaning this once great steakhouse is serving subpar cheesebursers. You keep eating the garbage. I am done. I supported Kiffin, Dooley, Jones. I watched or attended EVERY game. I talk to my sons about Tennessee football and how great it is. They see the stadium, they see the tradition, they see the grandeur of it all but what they get is something far short. You be happy with hiring Doeren....I will not.

And you wonder why great coaches are not jumping at the opportunity to represent this university and it's, so called, fan base.

Yea, that's the whole problem right there. The "so called fan base".

Lol, old mother, its amazing what you think is stupid and what's not.

Ladies and gentlemen WAKE UP! We must flood everywhere possible to keep this Doeren deal from going through!

If you do, forget getting a good coach of any kind, might as well give it to Hoke. There is already speculation that coaches are boycotting Tn and making them look bad in the press because of Schiano. If you do it again, it’s over.

Sonny boy, we do amuse each other.

I offer reasonable thought, you offer thoughtless response.

It works.

Word on the street is that Doeren is reconsidering Tennessee's offer because of death threats made to him and his family. I agree with everyone that he would be an awful hire, but death threats? That is pretty harsh.

Do you see any other SEC fans acting like this? 10 of the 14 SEC schools have or will have a new coach in the last two years. Only AU, UA, KY, and Vandy have a coach over two years.

Have you seen any of the other 10 fan bases act like this? Something to consider.

I see Bama poisoning trees and killing each other over football...they must have the hardest time keeping a ****ing coach and winning games. 🤔🤔🤔

I'll take angry tweets any day of the week. If twitter was what it is today when Spurrier turned down Bama, they'd be where we are now.

From the guy who is advising Currie on coaching candidates. BTW...my friend told Currie that Doeren would be a terrible hire, but he's being pushed by Fulmer/Manning and their relationship with Cutcliffe. It's a long, crazy story that could be made into a mini series.

The inmates are running the asylum. We will be lucky if any good coach accepts the job. What man would want to be subjected to this ***t constantly?

Give it a rest dude. We're going to make it where we cant even get a HS coach with all of the pitch fork fans.[/QUOTE

he is right. we should accept DD. WE should continue to pay 95 bucks per ticket +donation for the big games every year to watch georgia florida bama lsu sc run us out of our own stadium. We should be fine with a coach who's 1-10 vs top 25 teams at his current job, who went into this season on the hot seat.

its really ok that Texas A&M is talking a natl championship coach into leaving Florida State to become their head coach while we are trying to convince a coach that is 33-30 at his current job with a 15-25 conference record to leave that school to come coach us.

Boycotting and hurting the bottom line of the University and the Haslams are the only way change will come at this point. The Haslams have got to be eradicated from the decision making of this university. Nothing will get fixed until then. Protest the Haslams and oppose everything they are associated with !!! It will take a mass of Tennessee fans doing this to make any difference.

What you are saying about the 5h1t show is true, but so is what I said. It's both, whether you want to be mature enough to see it or not.

And yet you said there is a good chance Fulmer would be named A.D. in 24 hours in another thread... yet Fulmer and Manning want Doeren?!!!

If Manning is not even willing to help get better coach (which had been mentioned recently), we are in BIG TROUBLE!!!!
