We have more serious injuries than anyone in the SEC....I saw where a few teams have one or two, but only really one starter... this has got to stop. Snake Bit.

It was so much better when Dooley's guys ran slow and couldn't hit each other hard enough to cause injuries.

Guys, if injuries were a problem with this team and coaching staff then we would have seen it over the past two years. I mean something obvious like our injuries being so bad that by the time we played Vandy we would lose a game then only pull out a 7 point win...wait a sec

In the Dooley years we would have a grand total of 1 SEC caliber DT on the roster.... who would get hurt or kicked off the team in fall camp.

Some of you guys are overreacting...

Perry was never going to play this year. I think he could be good for us down the road, but he's behind Smith, Johnson, and PIG.

Croom, well, he can't stay healthy. Anything we get from Croom is just a bonus. Malone, North, Pig (if he can stay out of trouble), Smith, and Von will carry 80% of the workload this year. Croom, JJ, and Johnson will take up the rest of the workload left over.

McNeil, that hurts some, but Berry and TKjr are studs. I'm really not to worried here. If all else fails, Griffin can get some early PT or El. Berry can maybe move back to S??? Yes, no, maybe?

Jackson's injury is the worst of all. Our OL is the only real issue to worry about right now.

Gaulden's injury also hurts depth wise.

The guys are starters for a reason. I don't think anyone is overreacting when voicing concern that we have lost two of our starters on defense for the year.

McNeil's injury is in line with Swafford...very likely his career at UT is done. So no we aren't blowing anything out of proportion...

Terrible news for the kid. I'm guessing they're evaluating further? Hopefully Jones can find a way for him to still be part of the team.

It's time to go to helmets and shorts until the season starts. These guys are physically tough and ready by now. They can work on technique and timing or play corn hole. At this rate we won't have any starters left to play

Like to see how we intend to slow down boy genius Lincoln Riley's offense down two very important DB's

Todd Kelly Jr. is better in coverage than McNeil so he would've played more against Oklahoma anyways.

McNeil's loss though sad is not significant. TKJ was already better in pass coverage. Hard hitting run stuffing safeties like McNeil are becoming an endangered species now in college football anyways with the rise of spread offenses. McNeil would've been critical for us in the one or two games we play teams like Arkansas and Alabama that like to pound the running game. Against everyone else TKJ will be more than adequate. IMO TKJ will be an UPGRADE.

on the athletic side I agree, but we will miss his senior leadership a lot

his injury is actually significant...McNeil was ideal for run coverage and was a senior (lots of playing experience). had the mental reps unlike our younger guys. he may not have been as talented but he will definitely be missed.

Do other programs just not let this stuff out or something. I work with a ton of GA and Bama fans and none of them have mentioned any injuries. I'm sure they've had some but it's not something that any of them are talking about. And here we are talking about it every day.

Ask your UGA co-workers about Justin Scott-Wesley.

While the injuries to Gaulden and McNeil cannot be overlooked I think a big difference this year is we will be very good to elite at rushing the passer and getting to the Quarterback which will help our secondary a lot
