Lack of anger on the board

I think we've had enough staff changes. The buck stops with CDD. Time to move on. Would be very happy if the new coach considers retaining Graham and Pittman though.

This.

What happens next year if we do change DCs? Does Dooley then get a pass because "his guys have to adjust to a new system"?

I think it's ridiculous that some support changing DCs but retaining Dooley. I

It is. But it is still relatively quiet on here given that disastrous performance. People are resigned to the fact.

Maybe people are tired of the trash talking and gossip you so desire to read more of. Try hanging out at a salon if you want more drama.

You don't have to be loud and annoying to be upset.

Btw I "liked" in error when trying to quote.

Not looking for drama here.

The thread is to point out the complete lack of it. Meaning, people are done with Dooley and they aren't even wringing their hands over it anymore.

One of those "wait and see" guys. The same thing.

It's wait and see what happens and make a change if necessary at the end of the year. That's exactly how this will play out. That's what I said from the beginning. Looks like things will take care of themselves, as I also mentioned. The rest is bs wasted energy.

You mean crying on a forum over it. Good! Hart will make his decision and I will support it. Until and after that I will support the vols with a positive attitude.

Wait and see proved to be what many of us said he was. Pathetic. But saying it would play out was a good call by you. As opposed to things not playing out.

Some folks are satisfied with 7-5, apparently.

Where do you see 7-5?
Dooley's smarter than all of us.
Building another 5-7 to collect his $5mil to get his law practice going.
Has to know he's out of his element by now.

I would be angry but honestly I'm rather apathetic right now. We didn't beat anyone we shouldn't, and honestly these last 4 games don't excite me. We play 1 somewhat decent team (Vandy, can't believe I just said that) left. If we win the last 3, it doesn't really prove anything other than Dooley can beat bad teams, which we already knew.

I dont think we will defeat Vandy- they are still fired-up about the u tube video and who wouldnt be. I have been on Brays back much of this year but today, he played a great game. It should not have been close.

We get the same results at the end of the year. I ride along. You act like a ***** the whole way.
Takes both kinds.

As u said, this is the new normal in that we have all lowered our expectations to the the extent that needing to rally to beat a Sun Belt team is nothing new to us. Had we lost today, however, I would bet everything I own , DD would have been fired by Monday. Is this where we wanna be Vol Nation, in the lower third of the eastern division? Today convinced me beyond all doubt that Dooley IS NOT the man to lead us from this on-going nightmare. Whether one likes him or hates him, the fact is - he cant help us. Might as well eat the 5 mil now and get it over with. If not, you may 35 K at home games next season and how expensive is that ?

Yeah....You score a point.

So....let's see how HE responds to that at the end of the year. CDD has to make changes in the staff (clearly)...and he has to improve recruiting for the secondary.

If he does these things, I think he turns this around....if not, he is toast.

Been there tried that an look what has happened. You really think Bell or Miles will be here come next year with Sal as D. Coord and Dooley as head coach? Go to the recruiting form and look at the recent offers we have handed out to players. Most of those guys don't have a single SEC offer or KY, Ole Miss, or Vandy has offered. This should tell you just how well recruiting is going...

seeing how Vandy ripped UK to shreds today 40-0 says volumes about our chances against them....if we dont lose to Mizzou then Vandy WILL be a loss, and then we will be lucky to beat UK and start a new winning streak...but 5-7 is what we are aiming for at this point...

I get angry after the game but when I walk back to my desk (I am at work) and its 80 degrees out in November..I get happy.

If we hadn't of won it would have been much worse. Hopefully this just means fans are starting to realize pissing and moaning about things won't really help.

I doubt is would make much difference. I'm glad we won but still depressed after watching the game.

There is anger, there is dissatsfaction. But we still have games to play and it doesn't help anything to spew the obvious. I don't believe any of us on this board are in the position to make the decision hart has to make at the end of the season. No one bleeds orange more than me and living
Down here in Alabama with these tide fans is unbearable right now, but I will still support this team and yes this staff as long as they are here. But with that said, I am off the Dooley train. We need a change but if its not a home run hire that will reunite this fan base then it's useless. Sal must be demoted or go for sure. Our players cannot be this bad.
