Hopefully we don't have Texas on our rotation in 2025 and then he goes pro, that way we don't ever have to play him. I'd hate to have to root against him but will be forced to if we play.

Maybe he want play Ole Miss and Tenn. By the time Texas starts playing a SEC schedule Eli will be gone. Will be less drama at Texas. I think he made the right move.

100% agree with this. With Saban nearing retirement and NIL in full swing, Texas joins at a perfect time for them. They may rule the conference by the end of the decade.

I could see it but then I can’t. They’ll struggle playing a full conference schedule against SEC teams. Won’t come close to playing a Big 12 conference schedule

This commitment increases those odds tremendously. A) Arch will help win games to help him keep his job and B) they’re less likely to fire Sark if it means they might lose Arch to the portal.
