I know everyone's excited about the Arkansas game next week and the SEC games, but we do have a LA Lafayette team this weekend that has a very mobile QB and runs the option, something Chavis' defense have never been able to contain very well. Here's an exerpt from CPF's press conference today on Lafayette:
Every week the challenges are different as you look at the strengths of the team you are getting ready to play. (Louisiana-Lafayette) is the second-ranked running team in the country. The quarterback is their best offensive weapon to this point. Weve got to do a really good job of stopping the run against them. He is a really fine football player, and their style with the option and the misdirection requires discipline and accountability.
Discipline and accountability, those two words make me cringe when thinking about this defense. I know it's a Sun Belt team but, anything involving the option and a mobile QB make me sick with this defense.
