Kyle Rittenhouse - The Truth in 11 Minutes

It’s also on video happening and reported on msm sites, but I’ll even provide a lefty favorite fact checker. 😂

Did Kenosha Police Give Water to Teen Later Charged With Double Homicide?

"The officer then goes back to addressing the group of armed men Rittenhouse was standing with. “We got a couple [of water bottles]. We’ve got to save a couple, but we’ll give you a couple. We appreciate you guys, we really do.”"

This almost exactly mirrors what a cop from another Midwest city told me about his interactions with a group of well armed Latino men who were guarding some businesses while violent protests were going on.

Isn't that when they thought he was an EMT? That is why I gave the LOL. Rittenhouse was on the scene under false pretenses. At the time, he was not even old enough to be an EMT.

Doesn’t appear like it had anything to do with any type of medic stuff.

He should have done so outside the presence of the jury. It had the effect of directing members of the jury to applaud the very next witness who was about to take the stand, as he was the only veteran present in the court room to applaud. It really shouldn't be so hard to understand why this was inappropriate. The same respects for our veterans could have been paid, without the jury present.

Or with them present. The fact you act like it somehow matters is laughable.

There isn’t an option three here. And nobody believes your reply on this.

I had the trial on in the back ground while working from home during the week. My attention wasn’t steered from my work but I have enough intelligence and time management to multitask and hear the first hand testimony.

Being concerned enough with this particular trial that you have it “on in the background” is the point. Why is this trail more important than any other one? Because it’s been chosen for you as a yet another item in the identity politics game. Anyone who lets this trial occupy anything more than an after-thought has been sucked into the latest version of divisive propaganda. So before you start soapboxing about main stream media, why don’t you self reflect about why you care about this trial over the thousands of others taking place simultaneously in this country. Hint: you’ve been told to.

Everything before the jury matters. I haven't said that it should result in a mistrial... but hell, even right-winger Judge Jeanine said it was a mistake! You people will argue any damn thing.

I'm sure recognizing Veterans tainted the hell out of the jury.

Why did he lie about being an EMT then?

I’m going to agree it looks like he stretched the daylights out of that one into a whopper, but let’s not act like he was clueless.
The kid has way more first aid training than the vast majority of anyone there that night besides actual first responders. He detailed it all on the stand under cross examination.

I’m watching it because I believe it to be as much or more about 2A and the right to self defense as it is about the kid. This is a cornerstone foundational case to go after those rights.

LOL. You people will argue any damn thing. The police do not want you taking your gun down to a riot. The odds are much better that it will only complicate matters for them.
Cops don’t “invite” civilians to help them when they’re on the bottom end of a fist fight either. But they appreciate the help. You’re right. They’ll never “invite” you. But rest assured they appreciate the help when it means lives lost, businesses burned and people getting the chit kicked out of them for no reason.

Yes, but he caught the second one really quick and watching his reaction it seemed like he thought it was already on silent.
Ehhh... I dont know anything about this guy, but its probably not the first trial he's been through, he should (and probably does) know how to handle his phone. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for the first one, but not the second. I'd lean toward he's definitely doing a little covert campaigning from the bench. I think a cell phone ringing isn't really a big deal though.

This is the only case that fits that bill? Or, is this the only case heavily publicized that fits that bill?

you keep arguing that cops don't want civilian help and didn't in this specific case despite direct evidence to the contrary.

seems you will argue anything

It’s the only one I’ve found that is considered textbook self defense by a majority of 2A folks and the defender is up on major charges. If I find another one, I’ll follow it as well. Joys of being my own boss and time off.😁

how people's political standing aligns with how much they laud, loath or are ambivalent towards the defendant in the case.
I could agree with that. I guess you could put me on the ambivalent side. Hypothetically, it looked like the state was winning and planned on calling an EMT (no reason just a hypothetical) as a witness and the judge said, let's give a round of applause to first responders, I could see this being a completely different conversation for some people.

Edit: I'll add the caveat that my opinion is right and everyone else's is wrong.

sounds like one of those people at a party who say "I don't even have a TV"

the applause thing is the only real critique I have of the judge.
